After Bade Ache Lagte Hai, Kya
Hua Tera Vaada is the channel's
latest offering to the audience in
the genre of family drama and unusual love stories. The show is
about two protagonists who have
been married for 10 years and
though they love each other, have
no time for love as domestic responsibilities keep them busy.
Mona Singh, who was much famous for her nerd with the big
spectacles and braces role in Jassi
Jaisi Koi Nahi plays a demure
housewife, Mona. Pawan Shankar
plays her husband, Pradeep
Singh. Pawan, who was earlier famous for his role in Siddhanth, is
a pleasant change from the strict
image as he plays a father of three
children in this one. Mona plays
the perfect happy-go-lucky, middle
class housewife who has taken the
responsibility of the entire family.
She plays the perfect wife to his
husband who knows what he is
going through at any given point
of time.
The first few episodes have
been a breath of fresh air as the
story is real, the acting very convincing and has no melodrama so
far. Pradeep, though is convincing
as the husband, Mona steals the
limelight. Apara Mehta is lovely
as the mother-in-law, a far cry
from the evil, planning and plotting mother-in-laws in the other
shows. Delnaz Paul, who plays
Mona's best friend, is one of the
ensemble characters who adds
comic undertone to the otherwise
simple show. If you are a Mona
Singh fan, you will enjoy this
show, as this brings out an entirely different side to her personality.
This show is definitely one of
those that you can sit and watch
with your kin (a family bonder) as
it has all — good story, great dialogue and talented actors.
