Understanding The Leela- Updated

Since everyone is waiting for the Shiv-leela to begin, there is an interesting board game The Leela, the Gyan-Chaupad, invented by Rishis to recognise the present state of their own being. By observing their course of movement from one plane to another, they could practically observe which Snake brought them down & which arrow took them up.The moves were decided by the karmic die which when thrown indicated their present state of the player.

Leela is the Nature of Supreme Consciousnes (God), the playful nature. The Phenominal world is manifested Leela. The play is beginless as well as endless. Leela is the great adventure & the great discovery, again & again.  Those who realise the play in the game are not caught by the game board & know it as the Leela (divine game). Those who identify with the squares & the plane of the game board are played by the game board wich becomes Maya that binds the mind. It is the Maya which creats the Phenominal world.

The game board had various blocks at various planes, which are based on the 7 chakras of human body.  it is a very interesting game,all the blocks & various levels are given below.

 

Human life is a seriesof cycles. The seven planes through which the player must pass before reaching the eighth plane- the plane beyond all the planes -are the7 chakras. each chakra has particuar characteristics.

The 1st Chakra-The Muladhar chakra -The Physical Plane

1. Genesis (Janma), 2. Maya, 3. Anger (Krodh), 4. Greed (Lobh), 5. PhysicalPlane(bhu-loka), 6.Delusion (Moha), 7. Conceit (Mada), 8. Avarice (Matsar), 9  Sensual Plane (Kama-loka)

 

The 2nd Chakra-The Swadhisthana chakra -The Realm of Fantacy

The 3rd Chakra- The Manipura chakra -The Theatre of Karma

There are no Snakes or Arrows in the 1st Chakra. The 2nd chakra  has 2 arrows-Purification & Mercy, has 2 Snakes- Jealoucy & Envy.

The 3rd Chakra contains 3 Arrows- selfless service, Dharma & Charity, 1 Snake- Bad Company.

The 4th chakra contains the arrow- Apt Religion, the Snake is Irreligiocity.

The 5th Chakra contains the Arrow are The Right Knowledge & Gyana, the sanake is Ignorance.

The 6th Chakra contains the Arrow, The Consciousness & The Snake is Violence.

The place between 6th & 7th chakra contains the Snake is Egotism, Tamas & Negetive Intellect.

The Last Raw has the Snake of Tamoguna, The player has not realised the God, so he has to come back to the Earth. This cycle ontinues till he is liberated.😊

i loved playing snakes and ladders as a kid...but i didnt quite know it had such a deep meaning to it..
