Episode starts with Ambi doing her work while her parents come. She tells them she know they've come to scold her for the incident with the two ladies. She says she's only doing what's right and it's wrong to side with the wrong. Her father tries to explain to her that when she gets married she can't do this. Ambi jokingly says if her mother in law kicks her out she'll just come back! But her mother assures her she will get a very nice mother in law.
Imartidevi is working at her house while her devar, Shreedhar comes and says he came as soon as he found out about Anuj's job. Imartidevi praises him calling him 'Laxman'. Shreedhar praises Imartidevi saying how she took care of kids and house while his brother ran away from his responsibilities. Imartidevi asks him to stop as she gets emotional. She calls Kusum to give the achaar and papad to worker while Vimla is complaining about Imartidevi to her daughters. She also complains about Shreedhar saying he ran up as soon as he came. Shreedhar excuses himself.
Kusum is standing around and Imartidevi taunts her asking if her mother will fold the mat. She sees kusum's finger and asks if it'a hurting too much. Kusum refuses and Imartidevi reminds her it was her mistake for making her angry! She asks what's been made for lunch and Kusum happily says some dishes that are Anuj's favorites. Imartidevi doesn't seem to like it and taunts her saying she's not paying much attention to cooking these days and you can't just cook by chopping up onions and coriander. She tells her she must cook with love.

Second half - Imartidevi counts 13 almonds and gives Kusum. She smells the daal and looks pleases but doesn't praise it, instead she tells Kusum there's less turmeric. She tells her to just half spoon. As she's about to leave make up box comes. Imartidevi makes fun of her calling her a deflated puri and says her make up looks like someone threw achaar on the puri. She leaves and makeup box complains that like mother like son! Kusum convinces her that he will come round.
While washing the almonds, kusum drops 3 down the drain and panics. Makeup box helps her by giving her 3 peeled groundnuts and assures her that no one will know. Shes about to put them in kheer when Imartidevi comes. They're both very scared. She asks them to concentrate on the food and not her. She asks how the kheer is and makeup box she knows her nature, kheer is very good. Imartidevi says she knows makeup box's nature but makeup box also knows Imartidevis nature, she doesn't like mistakes in cooking. She checks the kheer and asks about the almonds. She asks why they haven't put them in yet as she sees then in makeup box's hands. Just then the middle son comes and calls Imartidevi. She taunts makeup box to put the almonds in quickly otherwise they'll rot in her hands cos of the sweat. As she leaves the 2 bahus quickly put the almonds in.
Imartidevi and Anuj sit down to eat. Makeup tries to leave to her parlor but Imartidevi tells her to help wash the dishes. They leave while Anuj an Imartidevi eat and watch from the kitchen if the food was ok. Anuj praises the kheer and asks for more. Imartidevi tastes the kheer and makes weird faces but keeps eating. Anuj gets a call and excuses himself. Imartidevi keeps eating and finds the groundnut...
