Now for the 20 yrs part... they always say 20 yrs, when talking about Ram taking care of his step family , or remaining single or whatever. 

And besides, before AK died, he had an affair with Niharika, but she was not at the KM. Remember at the time AK was dying and he told Ram about the 2nd family, Nuts was 1 yr old. the others were older. So they all belonged to AK, but they were probably living in a smaller house secretly somewhere. 

only after his dad died, ram must have brought them to the KM! So surely their wealth and status came only 20 yrs ago. 

Agree with you...That's exactly what would have happened...The rich elderly billionaire falling for the charms of a young sly golddigger.Now safely ensconed in a mansion Niharika conveniently has forgotten her original roots...Madam thinks she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth.Who could forget the scene where a pitiful Niharika is looking helplessly at Ram and his father with all the brood around her?
