CHAPTER – 9

[SHARMA NIWAS]

In the morning,after getting ready for school and office,all were sitting in the breakfast table.Sonia said to Rishi,"Daddy bohot din ho gaye aap hume shopping pe nehi leke gaye."She pleaded to Rishi,"Chalo na daddy aur vaise bhi mere saare kapre puraane ho gaye hai."All the kids supported her.Indira too joined,"Ha Rishi sach mein bohot din ho gaye bahaar nehi gaye.Mujhe bhi sabke liye thore bohot kapre kharid ne hai.Chaliye na shopping ki shopping bhi ho jaayegi aur ghumne ka ghumna bhi."Rishi said,"Par Shrimatiji aaj ek case ke silsilay mein mujhe High Court jaana hoga.Aaj usi vajah se pura din busy bhi rahunga.Please aaj chor dijiye kal chale jaayenge."All the kids were very sad.Seeing their sad faces,Indira sadly said,"Dekhiye kaise bachcho ke chehre utar gaye.Bichaare."She then argued with Rishi,"Aap bhi na bohot bure hai.Vaise court to 5 baje bandh ho jaata hai,phir toh aap chal hi sakte hai.Mere bachcho ka man bhi behel jaayega."She continued by folding her hands in a hitler style,"Agar aaj aap hume bahaar nehi leke gaye to agle ek mahine ke liye apne sone ka intezaam apne office mein hi kar lijiyega."Rishi got scared and immediately agreed to her,"Ok ok Shrimatiji,aa-aap ne kaha aur m-main mana karunga aisi to meri aukaad hi nehi hai.Aaj main sabko bahaar leke chalunga.Aap log ready rehna."All the kids shouted loudly and hugged him in happiness.Rishi then drove the kids to their bus-stand and after that dropped Indira outside her office and left for his own.

[DIWAN BUILDERS OFFICE]

Sameer was leaning in his chair in a relaxed mood.He remembered how Sonia kissed him and started smiling by rubbing his cheek.A peon entered his cabin with a file to be signed.He signed the file and returned it with a smiling face.The peon was very shocked to see his expression.When he got out of his cabin,he was so lost in solving Sameer's smile's mystery that he clashed with the manager.The manager shouted at him,"Oye kya kar raha hai tu?Dhyan kaha hai tera?"The peon while picking up the file said,"Arey manager sahab achcha hua aap aa gaye.Mujhe lagta hai hamare Sameer sir ko na kuch ho gaya hai."The manager asked,"Kya matlab hai tera?"The peon told him how Sameer was smiling alone by caring his cheek and how he smiled at the peon while returning the file.The manager was surprised,he added,"Abey haa yaar jabse sir us tea-estate mein us bachchi se miley hai bohot ajeeb se behave kar rahe hai.Arey jo ek rupiya bhi kharch karne se pehle 10 baar sochte hai,unhone waha se laut te waqt us bare se hotel mein us bachchi ke khaane ka bill bhi pay kiya.Koi baat to zarur hai."The peon was surprised.From that day Sameer's changed behaviour became a topic for gossip in the office.

                                                       Outside Diwan builder's office,a beautiful Mercedes stopped.The driver came out and opened the passenger's seat door.When the door opened,a very beautiful and hot looking girl stepped outside wearing a shoulderless pink short frock which was exposing her beautiful legs with pencil heal branded sandals and brown sunglasses in her eyes.She went straight inside the lift and pressed the floor number where Sameer's cabin is situated.After coming out of the lift,she opened Sameer's cabin door and leaned on the door in a seducing posture.She opened and put the sunglasses over her head and in a very romantic voice called Sameer,"Hi Sam."Sameer who was looking outside the window,turned and surprisingly said,"Trisha!"Trisha went near and hugged him.Sameer asked when she came from US to which she replied that she came today itself and after reaching the airport she directly came to meet him.She leaned on Sameer and while playing with his tie,requested him,"Kya Sam main itne dino baad aayi hu aur tumne mujhe ek baar bhi bahaar le jaane ka offer nehi diya?"She made a baby face,"Please Sam chalo na hum aaj sham ko date pe chalte hai aur phir ussey pehle shopping pe bhi chalenge.Please,please, please."Sameer smiled and thought her actual purpose behind shopping and dating is to buy her own dresses and have dinner at his expenses.He reluctantly agreed.

                                                              In the evening,Indira,Rishi and all the 4 kids went to a big shopping mall.Unknown to them,Sameer and Trisha entered the same shopping mall.Rishi and Indira with the kids,first entered the kid's section.They purchased very beautiful frocks for Ishika,jeans & t-shirts for Rishabh and jeans,tops & frocks for Sonia & Seher.At Rishabh's request they had to buy his shoes also.Suddenly Ishika told Indira that she had to go to the washroom.Indira put the responsibilities of the kids to Rishi and went away with Ishika in search for the washroom.Rishi then took the rest alongwith him and entered the men's section.He had to buy a suit and a shirt for himself.As Seher and Sonia had nothing to do there,they stood quietly near the counter.While Rishi was choosing a suit,Rishabh told them that he is hungry and want a pizza just now.So,rishi was bound to go and before leaving strictly ordered Sonia and Seher not to move from there.As soon as they left,Sameer and Trisha entered from the other direction.

                                                           Sonia stood leaning reluctantly on the counter desk whereas Seher was looking at the shirts and suits which were being shown to the customers.Trisha and Sameer stood just opposite to Sonia.She didn't notice them.Trisha was choosing an Armaani suit for Sameer but not a single suit was liked by him.She first pulled a white one and asked him to give it a try.He stood in front of the mirror that was placed nearby and put the suit in front of him and raised his head to look at the mirror.Suddenly,at the mirror,he saw,a little girl was looking at him making a weired face.He turned to see and found it to be Sonia.She was giving him signal that the suit doesn't match him.He looked again at the mirror and he too didn't like it.Trisha then pulled a brown one.He again took it and looked at Sonia indirectly.She again made the same face.Sameer rejected it too.Lastly,he himself took a shiny black one and again looked at Sonia.She now raised her brows and three fingers in appreciation.Sameer ordered to pack it.On seeing the suit Trisha said,"Wow Sam!I must say you do have a good choice." Sameer again looked at Sonia and winked at her with a smile.She too winked back.   

                                                            Indira,Rishi and the 4 kids were about to leave the mall when Trisha waved Rishi from his back."Hey Ricky!"Rishi turned and found Sameer and Trisha.He was not at all happy to see them especially Indira.Rishi waved back.Indira noticed Sameer had a mocking smile at his lips while looking at them.Trisha gave a side hug to Rishi at which Indira gave a tough look.Rishi introduced Trisha and Indira to each other and also with the kids.Trisha shook hands with them and when she forwarded her hands towards Sonia,she very smartly and with an attitude said,"Hello Trisha"with a pause,"Aunty." Sameer laughed by pressing his lips.Rishi and Indira smiled too.Trisha made a weired face at first and then with a smile said,"Isme toh bilkul tumhare jaisa attitude hai Sam."Sameer looked confusingly at Trisha and Indira pricked Rishi's hand in nervousness at this statement.After talking about here and there,they all left and before leaving Rishi and Indira shared a tough look with Sameer.

                                                            On Sonia's request,Rishi,indira and her brothers and sisters went to the ice-cream parlour.Sonia asked Rishi,"Daddy vo larki kaun thi?"Rishi stammered and answered,"Vo beta,meri-uh-college friend thi."Sonia said,"Oh-achcha.To phir….."Guessing what might be her next question,Rishi immediately,in order to stop her asked,"Beta tum kaunsa ice-cream khaogi batao?"She playfully replied,"Kesar Pista with extra nuts on it."Rishi turned her head and gave a shocking look to her.After a few seconds he asked,"B-beta yeh f-flavour tumne k-kaha se taste kiya?"Sonia replied,"Kahi nehi vaha jo menucard tanga hua hai vo dekh ke hi toh bol diya."Rishi exchanged a look with Indira but she didin't understand the reason behind it.While leaving for home,before entering into the car,Indira asked,"Jab Sonu ne apne flavor ke bare mein bola toh aap aise chauke kyu?"Rishi looked at her for sometime and replied,"Kyuki ye Sam ka bhi favourate flavor hai."Indira stood like a statue for some time and then slowly entered into the car.Rishi then drove all to home.

CHAPTER – 10

An inter- school dance competition was announced,which will be hosted by Sonia's school.Sonia was very much excited.She collected a form while returning home.She showed it to Indira and very excitedly said,"Dekho mamma humare school mein na ek inter-school dance competition ho raha hai aur main usme participate karne ke liye yeh form leke aayi hu.Please ye form aur paise bhar do."Indira filled the form and gave the money in her hand.She very happily took it and while going to her room clashed with Rishi.He stopped her and taking her in his arms asked,"Aaj meri laado itna uchal kyu rahi hai?Daddy ko nehi bataayegi apne?"She told about her dance competition and Rishi appreciated it.He then put her down and she ran to her room.

[DIWAN HOUSE]

In his bedroom,Sameer was trying his Armaani in front of the mirror.While trying, he was singing.While coming to his room,Simi heard him singing.She,very surprisingly,opened the door and saw Sameer smiling open-minded after a long-time.She was very happy to see him like that.She rubbed his hand on his back.Sameer was so lost in his thought that he didn't notice her at first.He turned and saw her when she touched him,"Aaj arse baad tujhe itna khush dekh rahi hu.Kya baat hai beta?"Sameer avoided,"Nothing.Kuch nehi ma."Simi put her hands on his arms and made him sit on his bed,"Apni ma se chupaayega?Bol na mera bachcha."She patted and in a teasing voice asked,"Koi ladki….."Sameer raised his hands,"No ma aisa kuch nehi hai.Vaise ek larki toh hai par bari nehi ek 10 saal ki bachchi hai."Simi congested her brows,"10 saal ki bachchi?Tu kiski baat kar raha hai?"Sameer said,"Ricky ki bari beti,Sonia."Simi removed her hands from Sam and stood up in anger,"Tu us Ricky ki baat kar raha hai?Uski?Jisne tujhe jail pohochaya.Tujhe uski beti se itna lagaav hai?"Sameer replied,"Mujhe yaad hai ma usne mere saath kya kiya hai?Kuch nehi bhula main lekin….."He said confusingly,"Main jab bhi us bachchi ko dekhta hu mujhe ek ajeeb si khushi milti hai.Jab vo hasti hai to dil karta hai ke bas usey dekhta hi rahu."He described all his meetings with Sonia.After describing,he contined,"Hamari mulaakaat jis tarah se hui,mujhe uspe gussa hona chahiye,par mujhe uspe aur zyaada pyar aata hai.Usdin jab Gurgaon mein mujhe mili aur mujhse lipat kar royi to aisa laga usey apne seene mein chupake hamesha usey har dukh aur taklif se mehfoos rakkhu."Simi slowly asked,"Par tujhe to bachche kabhi pasand nehi the Sam?"Sameer turned and holding Simi's hand said,"Janta hu Ma.Par usme kuch alag hi baat hai.Uske baat karne ka andaaz,attitude, khaane ki choice sab kuch mere jaisi hai.Aisa lagta hai koi dor hai jo humein baandhti hai ek dusre se."Simi consoled him,"Aisa hota hai beta kabhi kabhi do logo ki aadatein ek dusre se mil jaati hai."Sameer agreed to her but still his mind was restless.Before leaving,Simi informed him that Trisha called just now and asked him to meet her at THE BLUEMOON RESTAURANT tonight.All of Sameer's mood and happiness went down on hearing this.

Next morning,Sonia went to school happily and submitted the form and money to the collector.The collector checked the form and gave a very confusing look to her.The convo is as follows:-

COLLECTOR : "Kya naam hai tumhara?"

SONIA : (Happily) "Sonia Sameer Diwan."

CO : (Again seeing the form) "Aur tumhare papa ka naam kya hai?"

SO : (Very proudly) "Advocate Ricky Diwan."

CO : (Very confusingly) "Naam ke piche kisika naam aur papa ka naam kuch aur hi bata rahi ho?Yeh kya baat hui bhai?"

SO : (Innocently) "Mere daddy ne kaha hai ke yeh mera pura naam hai aur isme agar main unka bhi naam lagaaungi to zyaada bara ho jaayega aur sunne mein bhi achcha nehi lagega."

The collector laughed whole heartedly with a mocking attitude.

CO : (Addressing his co-workers) "Lo sunlo bhaailog kya zamaana aa gaya hai.Naam ke piche baap ka naam lagane se naam zyaada bara ho jaayega aur sunne mein achcha nehi lagega.Suna hai aisa kabhi?"

(He turned his head towards Sonia) "Baby tumhare daddy to tumhe puri tarah se bewakuf bana rahe hai."

SO : (Angrily) "Mere daddy ke bare mein koi bhi gandi baat mat karna.Mere daddy mujhse kabhi jhut nehi bolte.Jhut aap log bol rahe ho"

CO: (With a mocking attitude) "Dekho baby hume jo laga humne bol diya.Ab manna ya na manna tumhari marzi hai."

Not fully understanding,but guessing that what they are saying was something very bad,she started fuming with anger,which brought tears to her eyes.She threw away all the files that were placed in the collector's table.She took her form from his hand and furiously tore them into pieces,flew them in the air and ran away crying.
