Recap: Ambi leaves home. Kusum goes against Imarti to try and stop Ambi but Imarti drags her back and tries to punish her by making her swallow hot coal. Ambi returns in time to stop Imarti.
Part 1
Ambi is holding Imarti's hand tightly and Imarti struggles a bit to release it. She drops the coal and asks Ambi why she returned. Ambi smiles and says that she returned because of Imarti. She felt guilty to leave Imarti in a lurch. When Imarti can ask her to leave for her own freedom, she felt bad to leave Imarti behind to face the world of insults alone. So she returned. And its a good thing that it happened this way. Ambi now stands between Kusum and Imarti and tells her that if she hadn't returned then she would not have seen Imarti's real face. She asks with disgust how she can act so well. How she can speak so sweetly yet hold such lowly thoughts in her mind.
Part 2
Imarti replies in her own style that its good that you saw the truth now there is no need for hide & seek games. She tells Ambi that she has seen the lot of bahu's like Ambi who think that after marriage they will curb their mother-in-law and take over her home. But Imarti is not easily rolled over and the reason is because she keeps her daughter-in-laws at her feet instead of letting them dance on her head. No daughter-in-law ever treats her MIL like a mother, its only bookish talks and in real life these philosophies don't work. She tells Ambi that if she wants to stay in her house then she must also become a puppet in this puppet show and dance to Imarti's tunes. She asks if she ready for that. Ambi walks over to the corner, picks up the pot of water and pours it over the burning coals. Imarti looks perplexed and Ambi explains that she put the fire out so that the heat doesn't get to Imarti's brain. 😆
Ambi tell Imarti that if she is a sweet Imarti (Tamarind) then Ambi is also a Sour Ambi (Mango). And their sweet and sour relationship with now begin. She says she'll give tit-for-tat to all of Imarti's games and will not run away or cry in fear. She goes to pick up her suitcase and as she walks out of the kitchen she turns and throws a challenging look at Imarti who turns away and looks worried as Ambi's words ring in her head.
Part 3
Ambi walks to her room but is crying. She thinks of the double faced Imarti and then about Anuj's love for another woman. She sits on her bed and crys thinking that she came to this house thinking that she'll have new relationships and she wanted to win everyone's heart and not fight to win a war. She asks God why this punishment for her. Why she should fight when her mother-in-law and her husband both have refused to accept her. She has no reason to fight. At that moment Anuj extends a napkin towards Ambi and she takes it to wipe her tears. Anuj thinks in his head that though he is trying to wipe her tears it doesn't mean that he will be able to love her. He tells Ambi that he is the reason for her tears and though an apology will not change anything, he will try to atleast answer all her questions. He tells her that he was in love with another girl but for some reasons they could not get married and he had to marry Ambi under pressure.
Ambi stands up and tells him that she knows the entire truth but maybe Anuj doesn't. Ambi is about to tell him the situations that led up to his and Mala's breakup was created by his mother but before she could say it Imarti calls out to all as she fell. Anuj and Sajini run to aid her and Ambi also comes there. Imarti tells Anuj that she is dizzy and asks him to drop her to her room. As she leaves she turns to look at Ambi and smiles. Ambi realizes she is faking. In her room Imarti stops Anuj from calling a doctor or leaving and then asks Ambi to go and make tea for her and then all will be better. Ambi stares at Imarti and Anuj tells Ambi to follow Imarti's order. Ambi thinks in her head that Imarti is right, all is about to change in the house but it is to be seen if it will be according to Imarti's sense of injustice or according to Ambi's sense of justice.
Precap: Ambi meets her mother at the madir and she tells Ambi to try and find out why Imarti behaves the way she does as there might be some experience that has caused Imarti to become this way. She tells Ambi its important to understand the reason before you bash Imarti's character.
