Elena Gilbert, a teenager who grew up a little too early because of her parents death and Damon Salvatore, a vampire filled with nothing but hatred because of his brother meet and build a connection, create a bond that is unbreakable.

Ian Somerhalder & Nina Dobrev

Ian & Nina create such intensifying chemistry on screen as their characters Elena and Damon that many viewers of The Vampire Diaries have become complete fans of the pairing named by fans, "Delena". As for the actors off screen, the two are now officially dating and have achieved another name for their pairing, "NIan".
