Star Plus replaces Satyamev Jayate with Lakhon Mein Ek,

difference to society. Produced by Big Synegy, it is hosted by Pooja Gor
of the serial Pratigya aired on Star Plus.
Uday Shankar, chief executive officer, Star India, said, "Satyamev Jayate
reinforced what we knew about our viewers. They have an appetite for
compelling stories that are built around the communities that we live in
and that have a material impact on the kind of country we want to build
and live in. Lakhon Mein Ek is consistent with that philosophy.
The show itself is part of Star's efforts to use TV's reach and power to
shape society's outlook and mindset by making examples out of
individuals who influence change."
Speaking to Campaign India, Nachiket Pantvaidya, head, Star Plus, said, "We felt we had made a beginning with Satyamev Jayate by getting into a zone where we were addressing issues that were affecting society at large. Lakhon Mein Ek
is the next step in that effort where we are celebrating heroes. These
are stories of people who have done some extraordinary work. The idea
was to celebrate the fact that people have overcome adversities and have
impacted many people's lives."
The channel has not decided on the number of episodes for Lakhon Mein Ek yet.
Pantvaidya informed that 26 stories were ready to be told through the
series. Each episode features the story of one person.
