Hey everyone! I usually only write for the IPKKND forum, but this new show has got me hinged :) Also, I see a lot of potential in Riya and Arjun and just wanted to let my creative juices flow. Hope you enjoy!

First Case:
"What is with this man?" Riya Mukherjee, Research Specialist for the ETF, muttered under her breath. She crouched low beside the shattered remains of what had been an antique Ming vase, but was no more. Observing the place with keen eyes, she signaled to her friend and colleage Shreekant Sen to come up and help her out.
"Whats up Ree?" the curly haired man grinned, holding a taser gun-his best friends in his hands. Riya rolled her eyes, "Shree, why'd you carry that thing around everywhere?" she enquired, resuming her attention to the splattered bloodstains on the wall.
"Riya, I'm not muscular as Chottu and Rathore sir. Or for that matter Arjun sir-" he began, suddenly in haste to defend his much loved weapon.
But his words fell on deaf ears as she latched on to only one word "Oh God! That Arjun!" she knashed her teeth together and rolled her eyes. "All he does is compare my inexperience to the rest of the team! Young hai, isse waapis Research Department bhej do. I mean, what gives him the right to say that-"
In her monologue, Riya failed to notice the well-built, ruggedly handsome man who came up and stood directly behind her. Her friend shook her shoulder, only for his hand to be smacked away rudely. "If I see him right now na Shree, I'll just-"
"Just what Riya?"
The beautiful, passionate dusky skinned woman stopped her tirade immediately, her coal black eyes widening in disbelief as she heard him behind her. She turned around so fast, that she could have sworn she felt a crick in her back. "Sir-"
"I have the right, because I am your Senior Riya. And I also have the right because you are clearly not doing your job right. Chatting on work, now that isnt the best way to go is it? Especially when you dont want to go back to Research?" Arjun expressed with a sardonic twist of his mouth and a glint in his gun-metal black eyes.
He saw those plum lips tighten in fury as he lectured her, those almond eyes narrowing in blatant disregard of the words he had just uttered. "Just say that it is nothing but a pleasure to work with you ACP Ramwte." Riya asserted, elegantly phrased sarcasm dripping from each word.
Arjun grinned inwardly before replying. "Aah, but the pleasure is all mine in guiding a novice such as you Riya" once again, those lips pursed threateningly on the word novice, those stormy eyes spitting fire.
"Good for you" she replied snarkily, leaving him alone with an impetous flip of her equally dark hair.
Arjun hated being walked away from, but surprisingly, there was only amusement and not anger at her previous actions. He smirked as she walked away from him, her hips swaying in tandem to the temper Ms. Mukherjee so apparently possessed.
He snapped away from that thought and turned around, gazing at the blood-red sun. It reminded him of another evening, when the orb had set forever in his life.
"Smriti!" his screams echoed in the air as he saw him plunge the dagger into his wife.
Her eyes widened as she felt the impact of the blow, her fingers reaching out to touch him for the last time. But even that was not permitted.
She was jerked roughly away from him and flung unceremoniously to the other side of the room. Her bloodcurdling cries echoed in his ears.
"I love you Arjun"
"Arjun!"
The man flinched as if physically struck by some unseen force and looked away from the owerpowering sun. "What Rathore?" he enquired, looking into the roughened face of the ETF Chief. Nobody in their right mind would ever think these two men got along, but that didn't mean that anyone could deny that Sameer Rathore and Arjun Ramwte were anything short of brilliant.
Where one possessed a calmer head and hints of pragmatism, the other combined an uncanny sixth sense with impeccable observation.
Together, no crime could escape them.
"There are tyre tracks near the body, take a look."
They walked back to the crime scene silently. Rathore inspected the perimeter around the buidling and Arjun examined the tyres near the victim. Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw Riya talking animatedly to Chottu while taking a few notes. The broad man said something to which she laughed openly, going ahead to smack him on his chest and stick her tongue out.
Arjun smiled despite himself. He observed the depth of the grooves, measuring the breadth of the markings. Riya was so...different from Smriti, wasnt she?
Smriti had been soft, docile and loving. Everything that he could have ever wanted in a wife.
He gripped the measuring tape tightly, far too entreched in the past to notice the shallow cuts that were making their way across his palm.
But Riya...his wavering mind wandered to the dusky woman standing only a few feet away from him. She was nothing like Smriti. This woman was outspoken, impulsive, opinionated and smart mouth. Challenging.
Somehting that Smriti had never been.
Arjun shook his head so as to clear the wayward thoughts. Love was never going to be a part of his life again.
Ever.
But he couldn't help it as a smile made its way across his face upon noticing Ms. Mukherjee's shaking frame. In merely two meetings, this woman had done something that not even Smriti had done.
Riya made him feel human again.
So how was it? I jsut really liked these two and I just HAD to write. Im waiting for their Love Story to start already! Yay!
