i came to know about  vegas but we have 30 days trail version i guess very recently n i never made vm's...but u can make vm's in vegas u can even color them there...
for making avi's i have some tutorial i will give u the link...
for good quality its better use hd videos n i think u have to sharpen the videos for better quality ...all the tutorials about gif's are in this link...

No idea if this goes here or not, but does any one know how to insert a background into a post so that you can put text on it? Is there a code or something for it?
