Bias of the judges

Elimination of Anjana is totally unfair. The song on which the decision is based is not a simple song, the extended notes are not that easy to sing even for experienced singers. From the facial reactions of the judges seen even during her performance, it was 100% clear that a decision to eliminate her had been already taken. That Jayanth had some congenital defect which lasted for few years cannot be the consideration for his retention as Subha herself said that his performance was not the best. A close observation shows that  each one of the judges has a pet participant but the judge wielding greater influence has the final say. That Anjana cannot be No. 1 is known but with her consistency in performance, she deserves to be within the first 5. How many of the seasoned playback singers are all-rounders, well versed particularly in carnatic music to set such a tall order for the children? Any judgement has to be fair, otherwise it is no judgment. Not only the judges have decided who should all be within the top 5, they would have also (if not, the organizers with other considerations)finalized who should be No.1. If it is going to be a tie between Pragathi and Sukanya at the end, consideration like the former being in the U S need not be given the prize money could only reflect our poor culture. Those who sit on judgment should be true to themselves first of all. Edited by vkayen - 11 years ago
