nice to know the possesiveness of arjun for riya.. 😳 continue please..cant wait to know whats gonna happen.. 🥳
"Hum pehle uss north west ke shore ke paas jaayenge," he said as he walked beside her.
"Jahaan lashe bhi mili thi," Riya added.
"Haan Riya. Ye case jaisa dikhtha hain vaisa hain nahin."
"Sir, kya aapko nahin lagta hain ki ye murders bahut random tarike se huyi hain? I mean, victims ka ek doosre se koi taluk nahin hain. Ek couple tho abhi bhi missing hain. Ek aur baat hain ki, un lasho mein se koi body parts bhi missing nahin hain," Riya stopped talking when she realized that Arjun was staring at her.
"Kya hua sir? Maine kuch galat kaha hain kya?"
"Surprisingly'You're absolutely right," he said to her. "Good job Riya," he said to himself. He was proud of her.
Riya was elated but didn't show it on her face.
"Couple ke liye jo talaashi huyi thi, uske details hain tumhare paas?"
"Yes, sir. Sniffing dogs forest ke ek particular jagah tak gaye, aur wha ruk gaye. Uske baad scent nahin pakad paye. Actually random directions mein bhagne lage, that was the weirdest part."
Arjun and Riya reached the rocky shore and were surprised at its appearance. It had a cave like structure at it's eastern corner.
"Kisine hamein iss cave ke bare me bataya kyun nahin?" Riya was angry now. How many more things did they hide from them?
"Shaayad zaroorat nahin samjha. Kyunki lashe wahaan mili thi," Arjun pointed out the spot which was about fifty feet away from the cave, "Lagta hain ki ye cave is resort ke base mein bana hain. Resort ka elevation dekho, saaf pata chal jaayega."
He was right.
They went into the cave only to realize that they couldn't go further in without a light.
"Ab kya kare?" Arjun thought.
"Sir, one minute'" Riya then removed the cover of her new phone a pressed a key on it.
Enough light filled the way they were supposed to tread.
"Ye kya hain?" he asked surprised.
"My new phone with Shree's innovation'" she said as she walked ahead of him again. She was still a little angry with him for blaming her back at the diner.
They walked around looking for anything they'd find. Arjun did the searching while Riya functioned as his walking torch light.
"Riya, yahaan light focus karo," he said as he bent down to examine something on the rocks. Riya bent down along with him. "Khoon?" she exclaimed.
"Haan, khoon. Matlab yahaan kuch hua tha," Arjun wondered aloud. Riya then moved the light up the wall to find some more dried blood on a projection. "Sir, yahaan dekhiye." Arjun immediately got up. Riya tried to get up, but slipped on her own Anarkali's gear and settled on the floor. Arjun sighed and offered his hand to help her up. But she refused it and got up without his help. "Unbelievable," he thought, "Ab aur kitni nakhre karegi ye?" he thought amused.
"Yahaan, iss cave mein koi aaya tha. Ab kaun aaya tha, ye jaan na hoga." Arjun said an moved forward.
Riya moved along with him keeping very close to him. There was only one way in and the same way out, so there was no question of getting lost.
She saw something in front of them, shining at a distance. "Sir, woh kya hain?"
"Kahaan?" he asked not able to spot it. "Wahaan," she moved a few steps ahead to get a better view and, "Aaah!!!"
The floor under her gave in! She fell into the abyss like pit right in front of his eyes. His heart stopped beating.
"Riya!" He reached out to her but ended up catching only her dupatta. Darkness engulfed him. She left him taking the light away with her. Just like 'Roshni' left him, leaving him lifeless.
"Riya!!!" he cried out her name again. He felt helpless. The same helplessness he felt when Roshni was killed. He felt dead for a moment. His heart refused to beat.
"Riya!!!" he tried to shout her name, but he was yelling into darkness. His own ears couldn't hear his voice. That was when he saw a light flicker at the bottom of the pit.
He could breathe again. "Riya! Are you fine?"
"Sir! Main theek hoon. Aap ko kuch dikh raha hain kya?"
"Wait Riya tum uss light ko vaise hi rakhna," he said and tried to analyse the depth of the pit. It wasn't that deep, but he couldn't reach out to Riya. He then remembered her dupatta. He took it into his hands. It was a strong material, but can it handle her weight? He had to give it a shot that was the only way.
"Riya, kya tum uth sakti ho?"
"Haan sir," saying she got up with great effort.
"Good, ab iss wall ke paas aao, aur ye dekhne ki koshish karo jiski support tum le sakti ho upar aane ke liye. Luckily, she found them!
He lowered the dupatta down and with great effort he was able to pull Riya up.
After she came up, he held her shoulders tightly and almost hugged her but controlled himself. Yet, she was very close to him. His face was only a few inches away from his, "Agli baar samhalke! Samjhi tum?"
