This is a pretty darn great thread, thanks for creating it. Wonderful idea.
'The Boy Who Lived' to me is all about the opening line. It's legendary and if I had read HP as a kid, I would have instantly begun to identify my reading arena with Rowling's style of writing. It's not just comprehensive like simple English Alphabet, it's also got expression like no other writer could pull of with such simplicity.
Here goes my favorite line:
'Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say
that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much.' 😆
This is catchy, and interestingly enough, I doubt there's a more intelligent way to weave into the main plot without giving away anything about what is going to follow.
