http://www.startv.in/video/?69_1_The-court-sentences-Tyagi-and-Pujari-to-death ... Savdhaan India ... India Fights Back (17 October 2012 – Full Episode) ... The perfect family torn apart by a brutal crime... I can find no words to describe the torture those two lovely children were subjected to... For in doing so, I would be reliving their ordeal. Something unbearable for us the viewers... It is hard to imagine what the poor parents must have gone through... must be going through...:( How many times have our parents warned us not to take lifts from strangers... How many times have we disobeyed them... Is it worth it???? Mr. Bahl is absolutely right in cautioning all... NEVER TAKE A LIFT FROM STRANGERS! A Parent himself, he has accurately reflected the frustration, anger & pain of all who have children. What a waste of innocent lives! Was the trust placed on them misplaced? Were they given too much freedom? Wel
l... it is easy to point an accusing finger. It is almost impossible to live with the guilt of "If only we...!" :( Such must be the parents' plight to this very day. How does one overcome such a tragedy??? How does one go on living knowing that his /her children were traumatized & tortured to death? How does a mother get over the fact that her adolescent daughter was intimidated, humiliated & raped by two beastly criminals? How does a father deal with the fact that he couldn't do anything to protect... to rescue his defenseless children? Can these parents ever stop blaming themselves???? I think not :(

Mr. Bahl raised an extremely pertinent point. We should take responsibility for the safety of our children & not rely solely on external agencies. We ought to be proactive in monitoring our children. We must do our part. At the end of the day...we are responsible. Not anyone or anything else! We must teach our children & make them understand that talking to strangers, taking lifts from them... this is highly inappropriate. They SHOULD NOT, MUST NOT & CANNOT TRUST EVERYONE they come across... Well Said... Well Put by Mr. Bahl!!!... He could not possibly have echoed the predominant sentiment arising from this hideous crime... with more conviction & empathy. Parents!!!...Listen up!

Its true we need to protect our children and teach them how to protect themselves in our absence ...its better to be safe than sorry ! We also need to win our children;s confidence so they come to us for help whenever they need it ...whatever the situation !!
