The scene where the lead girl and guy falls on the beach is funny.😆And as usual,brilliant cinematography in a Mani Ratnam film!

Mani Ratnam's Kadal is about the fisherman from Tamilnadu who gets shot by the Srilankan Navy. The plot if intertwined by a romantic love story.

Story seems very usual. Hope MR's direction makes a difference.

Possible spoiler ahead
A coastal village that is used by a smuggler (must say Arjun looks great as the villain). Arvind Swamy seems to be a priest who has come to do good there. Gautham led the wrong way, redeems himself, Thulasi has come from the city(quite possibly Arjun's daughter), romance, rich vs poor

cutest part in the movie...i had a big smile on my face throughout this part...

samantha's expressions are wonderful...and nani is adorkable...😆
