Auditions ! Necessary?

It has now become fashionable to air the so - called - auditions on every musical show.

For what?

Personally, i feel its a waste of air time, the show gets prolonged, we see the judges making  caricatures of themselves  [esp II6], we see participants literally making fun of music, which the judges and channels encourage by giving them prominence  and highlighting humor of the basest form.

 Any  genuine lover of music would hate the auditions shown on these channels.

I do ! 

Does anyone else feel the same?

Is it not high time the channels dispensed with these fake auditions and get on with the show proper ASAP?

i think its necessary...to show how hard it is to tolerate some participants who come and waste time..

Auditions are neccessary but they do not need to air them and we dont need to see it..

omg so glad that you felt the same way...i dont enjoy the auditions as such...and also like when they get the set amount of contestants and start with the show...

I always skip the auditions on most singing - dancing shows.  I usually start watching when they reach top 15 or 20 ETC...

 

I skipped SRGMP 2012 auditions and started watching once they reached TOP 15..

When i hear these wonderful singers, they could have given us one month of sheer auditory pleasure, without eliminations, instead of airing these auditions.

The proper show has hardly started and we are already in eliminations.

I agree with you!! If they need to show anyway better to avoid the poor performers

The concept of auditions has great appeal for me and I don't want it to go away. It's really nice to see a random face in the crowd come up and show his/her potential. I could, of course, do without all the clowning around but that's not going to go away. I think this time SRGMP auditions were pretty decently handled for the most part.
