Blind faith, superstition, and obsession with ritualistic and miraculous "powers" of so-called Godmen have been the undoing of our society. How many innocent girls are made the hapless victims of this heinous practice is unbelievable'. One wonders how this savagery can be perpetrated but it does. It is nauseating, shocking, and an assault on the self-respect and dignity of a girl.

In our country where we worship the goddess as Shakti, there to have girls being humiliated in this manner is a totally unacceptable violation. And then for a mother to actually believe that her own daughter, who has been violated in the most hideous manner is actually to blame is adding the worst insult to injury. But credit has to be given to Roshni, who actually takes it on herself to expose the fraudulent trickster "baba".

Mohnish Bahl's inner anger and disgust with the situation does not remain hidden. He anchors this episode with a passion of one who understands the hapless girl Roshni's plight. No one can remain unaffected ' it is an unacceptable violation of human dignity. Thank you once again, Mohnish Bahl for projecting this most heart-rending situation so sensitively and realistically.

India does fight back, against all odds, young Roshni manages to expose the disaster that ensues from blind faith and rampant superstition. But for how long are we going to accept such crimes against innocent girls? For how long are these instances of blind faith and superstition going to permit such violations' .for how long?

Till we learn to have faith in ourselves, till we go beyond the blind beliefs and superstitions, we will continue to be victims. We need to believe in ourselves. Only then can we "fight back". While Roshni could do it, there are many less courageous girls who suffer the indignity and do not recover. If we do not stop these decadent practices of blind superstition, how can we fight back?

It flows like a typical fictional mystery' a pregnant woman, a missing husband, and very mysteriously, the flat in which the young pregnant woman, Mira lives, is sold behind her back. The sooth saying, smooth and charming husband, manages to hoodwink his innocent, trusting young wife.

This "Mills and Boons" romantic notion that the heart knows better than the head; the belief that because she "loves" him, the girl "knows" the man better than the reasoning and judgment of the more experienced and worldly-wise parents has been the undoing of many a young girl.
...

The horror of this saga however, is that this is a true story and not a fictional mystery. Mira finally has to accept that she has been ruthlessly duped, conned and cheated. She turns to her parents, against whose wishes she had married this fraudulent man in the first place.

Now unfolds the entire macabre and sinister plan. This is a man who deliberately and systematically cheats and destroys one woman after another. First attracting, then deluding and finally hoodwinking the innocent trusting women' and even causing physical harm where possible.

The cheater's modus operandi is to post his profile on a matrimonial website. Attract rich girls' and somehow get one such gullible girl caught in his tenacious web of lies. Mira decides to "Fight Back". She relentlessly pursues the search of this man' she is ably assisted by the police; she gets vital incriminating though and horrifying evidence through an NGO. And she even meets up with girls who have earlier been duped by the same conman.

Mohnish Bahl, the anchor, is so emphatic and assertive, that he brings home most effectively the trauma of the hapless woman. His most earnest and sincere narrative highlights her plight and her anguish. Mr. Bahl also highlights the stark fact as to how in the naive but foolish hurry to marry without so much as verifying for oneself, a girl stumbles into the horrific situation. Mira's determination, however, to get the fraud caught and punished was successful, and at great personal risk, she did succeed.

As Mohnish Bahl points out, the Internet gives huge amount of information' but to verify the authenticity of such information is the responsibility of an intelligent human being. One cannot accept everything one sees or reads as the gospel truth, as it is not necessarily so. This is more important when one is moving towards lifetime decisions such as marriage, and selecting a life partner. It is not a matter of the trustworthiness of a website, but of the persona as projected on that site.
