Cheteshwar Pujara engaged!

On the field, Cheteshwar 'Wall' Pujara's defence is almost unbreachable. But in real life, this stylish batsman, who just scored his maiden international hundred recently, has surrendered his heart to Pooja Pabari, daughter of a textile merchant. He got engaged on Tuesday in a ceremony at a posh hotel in Rajkot, which was attended by over a couple of hundred guests. Jaydev Unadkat, his Saurashtra teammate, was one of the invitees.

The match is an arranged one, but with consent from both Cheteshwar and Pooja. It seems Arvind Pujara, Cheteshwar's father, has been keen that his son settles down in life, especially since Cheteshwar lost his mom in 2005. A native of Jamjodhpur in Jamnagar district of Gujarat, 22-year old Pooja has studied MBA in retail from Vashi in Navi Mumbai. She did her schooling from Mount Abu and then completed her graduation from Ahmedabad.
