At the beginning of the episode, Anandi (A) is shown in Shiv's (S) house with Mahi when he is going to drop her home. While they walk out, she spots S behind the curtain and stops there. Seeing this Mahi leaves them alone to talk to each other. A tells S (with S standing behind the curtain) that she understands that he is worried about her (in the context of Sachi) but assures him that with time things will fall in place. S replies that every time he meets her and listens to her talk, he falls in love with her all the more. He expresses how proud he is of the way she handled Sachi. A replies that this is now her house as well and hence its her duty to keep the family happy. A also expresses how proud she is with S's efforts of staying away from her in order to fulfill the promise he made to Dadi Sa (DS) since she realizes that it is not easy. S admits that it is not easy but he will do it since he has to. A tells him that she has full faith in him that he will fulfill his promise. She tells him that the foundation of their relationship is this unsaid trust that they have in each other and this is what will keep them together always. She then takes a leave from S who is left very happy and is shown adoring her as she walks out the house. He says to himself that this punishment of not meeting each other before the wedding has made him realize one thing that seeing A's face everyday is very important to him and that his life and every happiness lies in her.
S is then shown with his family when daddu appreciates Shiv on his choice of his life partner. But S looks worried and concerned. Daddu appreciates the way A handled Sachi in a calm and smart manner. S expresses that he is angry with the way Sachi behaved. Iravati replies that Sachi is not only stubborn but her problem with A is something different. S tells Ira that they cannot keep ignoring her bad behavior. He says that they cannot keep testing A's patience all the time. He tells them that he wanted to shout at her for her behavior when she was behaving rudely in front of A but he was tied back due to DS's promise. He says that he will want to talk to her to find out if she will continue to behave in this fashion with A all the time? Choti Ma (CM) then stops S telling him that since he is angry right now he should not talk to her or else things may get worse. Ira also agrees with her and assures S that they will talk to her and make her understand. Daddu tells Ira and CM that they should also reveal A's past to her and thus clear all issues at one go.
Back in the haveli the family is shown in preparation for the haldi ceremony that's to be held the next day. A then arrives when DS asks her how did the jewellery selection go. A replies that the Shekhars splurged on the same. DS tells A that since she is their first daughter in law they may be more excited. DS then tells her that until the wedding she should not leave the house and that now she will only leave in her 'doli' (palanquin) from this house. This leaves A and every one very emotional and A hugs DS and then leaves to her room with Gehena following her.
There after the preparation for the haldi ceremony starts in the haveli amidst songs. Gulli is also shown in the haveli with other women who are shown preparing the haldi for the function. The whole family is shown busy in the preparations from decorations to invitations. Basant tells DS that even the Chief Minister has been invited.
Back in S's house, the family (S is not present) reveal A's past to Sachi and also tell her that she is the Sing's daughter in law. This upsets Sachi alot who tells them that she did not expect S to give her such a big shock. She is annoyed at the family since they delayed in revealing this news to her. Iravati tires to console her but she gets all the more agitated and says that she was feeling guilty all this time for the way she behaved with A, but now she is sure that she was right. She complaints as to why S chose a divorcee when daddu angrily asks her to stop shouting and listen to them calmly. He tells her that the family has taken the decision after careful consideration and that they are sure that S will not be happy with any other girl other than A. He tells her that its an honor to have a daughter in law like A who in spite of being separated from her husband considers her in laws as her own family and the family in return considers her as their daughter.
Sachi is not convinced with their thinking/ philosophies and complaints that when S could have got many other beautiful and sophisticated alliances he chose a divorced villager.. Alok then quietens Sachi telling her that S is also not an ordinary person and that his marriage to A is being considered by the Chief Minister as an example to be followed by society. He continues to tell her that there are many such innocent women who are either widowed or abandoned and all of them must have a chance to start life a fresh. Hence the S-A wedding is going to be conducted as a mass wedding ceremony. Sachi again gets angry hearing this and is angry and objects that the wedding is going to be held with her brother being among many other villagers. Sachi complaints to her mother that she expected a sister-in-law who wold have been a friend to her, but she is disappointed. Ira tries to console her but she shouts telling that A and she have no match whatsoever.
Shiv then arrives and angrily tells Sachi that he and A are perfectly suited for each other and that she is brave, has overcome a lot of hardships and moved ahead and that he is very proud of her. Sachi tells Shiv that A is very cunning to have fooled the whole family towards her. S gets very angry hearing this and tells her that if she doesn't like A, its her problem and that is in no way going to stop the wedding. He tells her that he respects and loves A a lot and will not tolerate anything against her. Sachi replies that she will not say anything, she tells the family that S is her role model and hence when they start looking for a guy for her, they should find a divorcee for her. The family is shocked hearing this.
Voice over: Its not unnatural of the old generation to stick to their orthodox traditions, but it looks very unnatural for the new generation to not be open-minded in accepting new thinking.
