I know many have joined later or will join us over the duration and so this is a summary of the episodes from the start.. : D

 Ranvijay yearns for a baby sister after seeing his friends' sisters tying rakhi to them. His father Sampooran Singh is the village headman and is considered to be a fair leader when it comes to settling disputes. Sampooran talks to his wife Ratanjeet about having another child. Ratanjeet tells him that Ranvijay's new hobby is to collect bottle caps. Ranvijay sees an unattended baby in the hospital and brings the baby home. The parents and the hospital staff search for the baby.

The parents go to the Sarpanch's house with a complaint against the doctor for losing their baby. They see the baby in Ranvijay's arms and ask Sampooran to punish him. Ranvijay tells them that he took the baby from the hospital to make her his sister. Sampooran apologises for Ranvijay's mistake. Ratanjeet tells Chaiji that she and Sampooran have been trying to have another baby but she miscarried twice. Sampooran cheers up Ranvijay. Meanwhile, a woman leaves her baby in the temple.

Ranvijay writes a letter to god wishing for a baby sister. He mails it to a Gurudwara in Punjab. Sampooran tells him about his dream of building an agricultural school in the village. Ranvijay vows to fulfill his dream. Chaiji becomes sad when Ranvijay asks her why she does not have children. Sampooran makes a jasmine garland for Ratanjeet. His friend, Kartaar returns home bearing gifts for everyone from his trip. Ranvijay is upset as he fails to bring him snow. Ratanjeet learns she is pregnant.

Ratanjeet asks Sampooran not to share her pregnancy news with anyone. They learn about Ranvijay's letter to the god. Ranvijay punishes Kartaar for not bringing him snow from his honeymoon trip. Ratanjeet reveals to Gurpreet that Kartaar was engaged once before but that the woman had run away on the wedding day. Kartaar apologises to Gurpreet for not confiding in her. He vows not to hide anything from her hereafter. Sampooran hesitates when Ranvijay asks him to make a similar vow to Ratanjeet.

Sampooran is guilt ridden about hiding a truth from Ratanjeet. He settles a marital dispute in the Panchayat and punishes the husband for breaking his wife's trust. Ratanjeet talks to Ranvijay about the responsibilities of caring for a baby sister. Chaiji finds out about Ratanjeet's pregnancy and brings the village women to Sampooran's house to celebrate the good news. A woman who has been thrown out of her parents' house travels to Preetampura to find a family for her baby.

Amrita comes to meet Sampooran along with her baby girl. She tells him that he is the father of her child. Ratan overhears their conversation and beats Amrita. Ratan becomes tormented as Sampooran concedes that he is the father to Amrita's daughter and locks herself in the room. Sampooran informs Ratan that Amrita is dead, but she breaks her relationship with him. Ranvijay gives all his bottle caps to Jeete to get a rakhi. He comes home and becomes elated to meet his sister. Chaiji condemns Sampooran for breaking Ratan's trust. The village people question Sampooran's integrity when he decides to perform Amrita's funeral rites. They refuse to help him arrange the funeral. Sampooran dresses up Amrita like a bride. Chaiji tries to stop Ratan from witnessing the scene. Ranvijay thinks that Sampooran is in trouble for taking a baby from the hospital and prepares sorbet to placate the village people. He sees Sampooran putting bangles on Amrita's hands and questions him.

 

Kartaar is shocked to see Amrita's dead body in Sampooran's house. He blames Amrita, who was once engaged to him, for his mother's death, as she had run away on their wedding day. He sees Amrita's baby and becomes enraged by Sampooran's betrayal. The villagers condemn Sampooran for betraying his wife and best friend. Sampooran performs Amrita's funeral rites without anyone's help. Chaiji consoles Ratan. Ranvijay shows off his sister to his friends. He fights with a boy for making her cry.

Baldev tells Ranvijay that sisters are very demanding. Ranvijay vows to be the best brother to his sister. Chaiji tells Sampooran to stay away from Ratan until she deals with his betrayal. Sampooran asks her to feed Amrita's baby but she refuses. He apologises to Ratan but she threatens to kill herself if he comes near her again. Ranvijay gets hurt while sneaking into a stable to milk a cow. The owner accuses him of stealing the milk. Sampooran feeds milk to the baby. Ranvijay sings a lullaby.

Sampooran tells Ranvijay that Ratan is sick and asks him not to disturb her. Ranvijay puts the baby to sleep. He overcomes his fear of cockroaches to protect his sister. Sampooran burns his hand while cooking for Ranvijay. Ranvijay eats the burnt rotis without complaining. Sampooran urges Ratan to eat but she refuses. Ratan tries to keep Ranvijay away from Amrita's baby. He becomes upset when she tells him that the baby is not is his sister.

Ranvijay decks the baby's face with powder and shows her off to Ratan. Ratan becomes hysterical and orders him to keep the baby out of her sight. Ranvijay thinks that Ratan dislikes his sister because she is weak. Baldev takes revenge on Ranvijay by promising to give him tips on increasing Ratan's strength. The village people plan to replace Sampooran as the Sarpanch. Sampooran tells Chaiji that he has been summoned by the Panchayat. Baldev's mother wishes for her husband to become the Sarpanch.

The Panchayat gives a verdict that the baby should not be nurtured in the village. Sampooran requests the Panchayat to be pitiful to the baby. Being the Sarpanch, Sampooran informs the villagers that the baby should be nurtured by its father. Ranvijay asks Ratan's suggestions in nurturing the baby. Chaiji asks Ratan to take care of her unborn baby.

Sampooran asks Ratan to nurture Amrita's baby. Ratan tells him that she will not care for his illegitimate child because it reminds her of his betrayal. She cuts her hand on seeing Sampooran and Ranvijay feeding the baby. A dhabawala gives a bag full of bottle caps to Ranvijay for his collection. Ranvijay takes the baby to Gurudwara and thanks God for giving him a sister. Sampooran writes a letter to Ratan explaining about what had occurred between Amrita and him. Ratan falls down the stairs.

Sampooran takes Ratan to the hospital after she falls down the stairs while running away from him. The doctor tells him that Ratan had a miscarriage. Ratan and Kartaar blame Sampooran for the loss. Ranvijay talks to the baby about Sampooran's dream to build an agricultural school in the village. Baldev tells him that he will ask his father to build a wrestling arena in that land. Sampooran asks Ranvijay to take care of Ratan and his baby sister. He gives him a feeding bottle for the baby.

Chaiji brings Ratan home from the hospital and tends to her. She panics as Sampooran goes missing. She decides not to stress Ratan by informing her of his disappearance. Kartaar and few other men search for him in the village. Ranvijay tells Chaiji that Sampooran had asked him to take care of Ratan and the baby. Chaiji teaches him to test the temperature of the milk before feeding the baby. Ranvijay builds a stroller for the baby. Kartaar tells Chaiji that he could not find Sampooran.

Baldev fights with Ranvijay for the baby stroller. Gurpreet, Bansari and the other village women gather in Sampooran's house to gossip about Ratan's plight. Chaiji defends Sampooran's character when the women condemn his behaviour. Ratan states that Sampooran left her without giving her time to deal with his betrayal. Bansari tells Ranvijay that Sampooran has abandoned Ratan and him. Chaiji reassures Ranvijay that Sampooran will return home. Ranvijay tells Chaiji to bathe his sister.

Kartaar informs Chaiji that someone had seen Sampooran boarding a bus to the mandi. Ratan refuses to forgive Sampooran for abandoning his family and decides to take over the responsibility of the family. She plans to work in the field and provide for Ranvijay. Chaiji supports her decision. Ratan scolds Ranvijay for dressing up Amrita's baby in the clothes that she had bought for her own child. Ranvijay pretends to be sick to avoid going to school. Ratan drives the tractor in the field.

The villagers are astonished to see Ratan driving the tractor in the field. Ranvijay takes his sister to the school and hides her in a classroom. Baldev reports about it to the teacher. Ranvijay quits school when the teacher asks him to leave the baby at home. He panics when the baby goes missing. He asks Ratan to come up with a name for the baby. Bansari pampers Baldev and ill treats his sister. Chaiji asks Balwant to assign a person to find Sampooran, but Bansari forbids him.

Ratan refuses to name Amrita's baby. She looks at the chits on which she and Sampooran had written down the name of their unborn child. Ranvijay ties one end of a thread around the baby's leg and the other end around his wrist to keep track of her. He goes to Gurudwara and asks God to give a name for his sister. He invites the village people to his sister's naming ceremony. Bansari declares that no one will attend the ceremony. Ranvijay punctures Baldev's cycle tyre for calling his sister sin.

Ranvijay reads a book containing baby names to choose a name for his sister. He plans his sister's naming ceremony. Ratan checks on Ranvijay after he falls asleep. Ranvijay covers the baby with a blanket. Ratan removes the blanket from the baby's face. The village people celebrate Guru Nanak's birthday in Gurdwara. Ranvijay thinks that the decoration and the feast are for his sister's naming ceremony. Granthi tells him to pick a name starting with the letter V. Ranvijay names his sister Veera.

                                                                                                                         

Ranvijay names the baby Veera. Bansari expresses displeasure in performing the baby's naming ceremony on Guru Nanak's birthday in the Gurdwara. Granthi advises her not to call the baby a sin. Ratan reads the chit and realises that Sampooran had wanted to name their unborn child Veera. Ranvijay asks her to embroider Veera's name in a handkerchief. He takes up the role of Veera's mother as Ratan refuses to nurture the baby. Chaiji teaches him to make a cradle. Ratan asks Ranvijay to go to school.

Ranvijay makes a promise to Ratan that he will not quit school. He takes Veera with him to school but the peon refuses to let him inside. The teacher informs Ratan that Ranvijay has been absent for the last few days. Ranvijay confesses to Ratan that he has been hiding in the school campus during class time. Baldev envies Ranvijay when the other kids play with Veera and not him. Ranvijay throws a stone at Baldev for threatening to pinch Veera. Baldev gets hurt. Bansari warns Ratan.

Ratan berates Chaiji for letting Ranvijay take Veera with him to school. She tells Ranvijay to let go of his obsession with Veera. Ranvijay refuses to go to school until Sampooran returns home to take care of Veera. Ratan slaps him for being disobedient and tells him that Sampooran has deserted them. Ranvijay asks Kartaar to bring Sampooran back. Gurpreet asks Kartaar to forgive Sampooran. Kartaar agrees to search for Sampooran but refuses to forgive him. Ratan apologises to Ranvijay.

Ranvijay asks Ratan to take care of Veera when he is at school. Ratan plans to make some other arrangements for Veera for the sake of her son's future. Bansari shows Baldev's head injury to the villagers and incites them against Ranvijay and Veera. She claims that Veera will have bad influence on their children. The parents forbid their children to play with Veera. Ranvijay gives up his friends for the sake of his sister. He dreams that an angel visits Veera and gives her clothes and toys.

At night, Ratan leaves Veera in an orphanage while Ranvijay is asleep. She appears as an angel in Ranvijay's dream. Ranvijay asks her to hold Veera in her arms and kiss her. He dreams that the angel is protecting Veera and him from the villagers who are trying to separate them. Ratan returns home and hears Ranvijay humming a lullaby in his sleep. In the morning, she wakes him up and asks him to get ready for school. Ranvijay brings milk for Veera and panics on not finding her on the bed.

Ranvijay searches for Veera in the house. He sees a feather in his room and thinks that the angel from his dream has stolen his sister. Ratan promises to search for the baby and sends him to school. She confesses to Chaiji that she had left Veera in an orphanage for the sake of Ranvijay's future. Dalbir tells Ranvijay that the police can find the baby. The women at the orphanage struggle to pacify Veera. Veera stops crying when a boy in the orphanage plays with her.

Ranvijay realises that he brought Veera's feeding bottle to school and goes back home to give it to Ratan. He sees Ratan working in the field instead of searching for Veera and becomes upset. He goes to the police station and asks the police to find his sister. He shows the feather he had found in his room to the police and claims that an angel stole Veera. He goes to the Gurudwara and asks the god to return his sister. Ratan searches for him. Chaiji scolds her for separating Ranvijay and Veera.

 

Ranvijay writes a message for the angel on a paper asking her to return Veera. He holds the paper over his head hoping that the angel will read it from the sky. His friends do the same. Ratan informs the police that she had left Veera in an orphanage. The woman who runs the orphanage collects donation from Gurudwara. She feeds milk to Veera in the feeding bottle that Ranvijay had left in Gurudwara. Baldev tells Ranvijay that the angel has left Veera in the jungle. Ranvijay goes to the jungle.

 

Baldev confesses to Ratan that he had lied to Ranvijay that the angel has taken Veera to the jungle. Ratan goes to the jungle in search of Ranvijay. Chaiji gathers the villagers and goes in pursuit of them. Ratan finds him lying unconscious on the ground and takes him to the hospital. The doctor tells her that his condition will worsen if he does not regain consciousness soon. Ranvijay mumbles Veera's name. His friends go to the Gurudwara and pray to the god to reunite Veera and him

The villagers witness Ranvijay's bravery and realise that he loves his sister very much. They pray for his recovery. Ratan realises her mistake and goes back to the orphanage to bring Veera back. A woman at the orphanage informs her that Veera has been taken to the hospital as she is sick. Baldev apologises to Chaiji for lying to Ranvijay and putting him in danger. Ranvijay regains consciousness when Veera is placed next to him on the bed. He thanks Ratan for bringing her back.

The doctor becomes surprised with Ranvijay's quick recovery after his reunion with Veera. She tells Ratan that the bond between Ranvijay and Veera is very strong. Ranvijay asks Ratan to carry Veera to their home, as he is too weak to carry her. Ratan feels embarrassed as the villagers see her carrying Veera. Chaiji tells Gurpreet that Ratan had to bring Veera back, out of her motherly love for Ranvijay. Ranvijay applies salve on Ratan's injured feet.

Ranvijay finds Sampooran's letter in Ratan's room while searching for a cord to make a fan for Veera. Ratan reads the letter in which Sampooran explains his first meeting with Amrita on the day of Kartaar's wedding. Amrita's parents apologise to Kartaar as Amrita runs away from home before the wedding. Sampooran consoles Kartaar and asks him to go home. He meets Amrita in a dhaba in her bridal dress. He helps her when she gets sick suddenly. They take shelter in a barn during a storm at night.

Sampooran becomes irate on learning that Amrita is the woman who ran away on Kartaar's wedding. Amrita tells him that she ran away from home because she has a fatal disease. Sampooran explains to Ratan that he had sympathised with Amrita's condition and admired her courage on learning the truth. Ratan breaks down on reading the letter. She regrets not forgiving Sampooran. Ranvijay makes a fan for Veera and shows it to Ratan.

 

Ratan repents for not understanding Sampooran after reading his letters. Chaiji comforts her. Ranvijay takes out Veera in a stroller. The villagers see Ranvijay's love for Veera and bless them. Joginder confronts Ratan for looking after Veera, but Chaiji defends her. Ranvijay plays hide and seek with his friends, carrying Veera. Veera smiles when Ranvijay's friend cheats him. Joginder calls the panchayat to discuss about Veera. Ratan decides to look after Veera.

Chaiji asks the villagers not to question about Veera in future. She tells them that Veera should not learn about the truth of her birth. Ranvijay fills the pot holes with mud to prevent the mosquitoes from spreading diseases. Ratan gives Sampooran's letters to Kartaar and asks him to sort out his misunderstandings with him, but in vain. Gurpreet reassures Ratan that Kartaar will sort out his issues after meeting Sampooran.

Bansari scolds Balwant for allowing Ratan to look after Veera. She informs him that she will not allow Veera into her house or let her kids play with her. Ranvijay protects Veera from mosquitoes. Ratan misses Sampooran. Kartaar helps her fix a motor pump. Bansari criticises Ratan for working in the field with the men. Ratan becomes enraged when Bansari tells her that Sampooran will never return. She becomes dejected on learning that Sampooran has transferred the property papers in her name.

Ratan persuades Ranvijay to go to school and leave Veera in Chaiji's care. She asks him to act like Veera's brother, and not her mother. Chaiji bathes and feeds Veera under Ranvijay's supervision. Ratan scolds Ranvijay for not brushing and bathing properly. Ratan hopes that Sampooran will come home one day when a motor pump that he had ordered a month ago is delivered to the house. Ranvijay misses Sampooran when Veera cries incessantly at night.

Ratan applies asafoetida and water mixture on Veera's stomach to relieve her of pain. Ranvijay buys growth medicine for Veera. Baldev introduces his pregnant aunt to Ranvijay. Ranvijay thinks that she had swallowed a baby and runs away from her. He grows a rose plant for Veera. Ratan hangs a dupatta on the terrace to call Sampooran home. She waits for his letters as the years go by, but in vain. Veera calls Ratan as Beeji, but Chaiji asks her to call Ratan as Maasi. Veera ties rakhi to Ranvijay.

After Leap


Veera and Ranvijay tie rakhi to each other. Ranvijay gifts a piggy bank to Veera. Veera asks Chaiji and Ratan to put coins in her piggy bank. Chaiji gives her money whereas Ratan ignores her. Veera wishes to cook paratha for Ranvijay. Ratan tells her that she cannot cook until her piggy bank is full. She tells Chaiji that she will accept Veera wholeheartedly only when Sampooran returns home. Veera asks the villagers for money, to fill her piggy bank. Ranvijay plans to buy her a kitchen set.

Ranvijay takes the money from his piggy bank and goes to the city to buy a kitchen set for Veera. Baldev gets money from Balwant to buy a gift for Gunjan. Gunjan dislikes the pen he gifts her. Bansari supports Baldev even though he breaks Gunjan's pen. Chaiji teaches Veera to cook paratha after she shows her full piggy bank to Ratan. Veera lies to Ratan that Ranvijay had given her money. Ranvijay eats the burnt paratha made be her. He braids her hair. Chaiji scolds him for failing in his exams.

Chaiji tells Ranvijay not to see Veera until he does his homework. Gurpreet suffers from back ache. Kartaar promises to take her to the doctor. Ratan asks him to help her file the property papers in the Tahsildar's office. Gurpreet becomes angry when he helps Ratan instead of taking her to the doctor. Ranvijay vows to educate Veera so that she can fulfill Sampooran's dream to build an agricultural school. Ratan gets a school admission form for Veera.

Ranvijay and Veera play hide and seek. Veera cheats in the game. Ratan plans to offer a rumala to the Gurudwara. Ranvijay buys a dupatta for Ratan to thank her for Veera's school admission. Veera bargains with the shopkeeper. A man from the neighbouring farm offers to repair Ratan's motor pump. He misbehaves with her. Gurpreet complains to Bansari that Kartaar has gone to meet Patwariji regarding Ratan's property papers instead of taking her to the doctor. Bansari poisons her mind against Ratan.

Chaiji encourages Ratan to live her life on her own conditions. Ranvijay decorates the dupatta he had brought for Ratan and asks Veera to make a drawing. Ratan becomes emotional on reminiscing about Sampooran, when Ranvijay presents her the dupatta and Veera shows her the drawing. Ranvijay shouts at Veera when she takes ice cream from the vendor for free. Kartaar fights with Bakhtawar for misbehaving with Ratan.

Kartaar comes home injured after fighting with Bakhtawar. Gurpreet asks him to stay away from Ratan because of the rumors about their relationship. Kartaar, Chaiji and Ratan take Gurpreet to the hospital as she falls ill all of a sudden. The doctor tells them that Gurpreet has a cyst in her uterus. Ratan stays at the hospital with Kartaar and sends Chaiji home. Ranvijay and Veera are left alone at home during a power cut as Chaiji's vehicle breaks down on the way. Veera gets locked in her room

Kartaar asks Ratan if she is certain that Sampooran will return home. Ratan tells him that she will wait for Sampooran until her last breath. Gurpreet undergoes a surgery. Veera gets locked in her room during a power cut. Ranvijay puts his finger through a hole in the doorknob, and asks her to hold onto his finger for courage. He tells her stories about Sampooran to comfort her. Chaiji comes home and breaks open the door. Ranvijay gets Veera ready for her school admission the next morning.

Veera tells Ranvijay that she is afraid to go to school. Ranvijay reassures her that he will take care of her in school. He trains her for the interview. The villagers bless Veera for her school admission. Bansari gossips about Ratan and Kartaar's relationship to the village women. Bakhtawar spreads rumours about them. The doctor informs Kartaar that they had to remove Gurpreet's uterus due to infection. Kartaar breaks down on learning that Gurpreet cannot have a baby. Ratan comforts him.

 

The Principal interviews Veera for her school admission. Veera tells him that her mother's name is Ranvijay. Ranvijay shows her the wall on which he had written her name. His friends give Veera gifts for her first day at school. Bansari gossips about Ratan and Kartaar's relationship. Balwant and Chaiji rebuke her for maligning Ratan's name. Ranvijay asks Chaiji for the meaning of humanity. He teaches Veera to write her name. He panics on realising that he did not buy school uniform for Veera.

 

Chaiji berates Ranvijay for going to the city by himself to buy a kitchen set for Veera. Bansari accuses Ratan of coming in between Kartaar and Gurpreet. She criticises Ratan for staying with Kartaar at the hospital all night. Ratan defends her honour. Bakhtawar and his wife insult her. Ratan comes home upset. Ranvijay and Chaiji leave Veera at home, and go to the city to buy school uniform for her. Gurpreet regains consciousness. Veera asks Ratan to sign her school admission form.

Ratan postpones signing Veera's school admission form. Gurpreet becomes hysterical on learning that she cannot have a baby. Kartaar calls Ratan and asks her to come to the hospital to comfort Gurpreet. Ratan takes Veera to the hospital with her. Gurpreet blames Ratan for her misery. She asks Ratan to stay away from Kartaar and her. Ranvijay and Chaiji buy school uniform and stationery for Veera. The shopkeeper commends Ranvijay for carefully measuring the uniform before buying.

Ratan becomes upset when Veera asks her if she had gotten her fair complexion from her. She tells Chaiji about the rumours regarding Kartaar and her in the village. Chaiji convinces her to sign Veera's school admission form. Ranvijay buys ribbons for Veera. Kartaar goes to Ratan's house. He blesses Ranvijay and ignores Veera. Ratan forbids him to enter her house. Chaiji advises him to take care of Gurpreet. Bansari and Bakhtawar confront him. Baldev is accused of theft. Ranvijay defends him.

Veera asks Ranvijay to carry her as she is afraid that the earth will swallow her. Later, while Ranvijay feeds Ratan, Veera makes her smile. Veera asks Ratan to put the handkerchief in her pocket as she does to Ranvijay. She irritates Chaiji with her questions. Veera seeks blessings from Ratan before going to school. She asks Ranvijay to accompany her to the class. Ranvijay asks her to hold one end of the thread, while he sits outside holding the other end.

Veera's teacher finds Ranvijay outside the class. She allows him to sit beside Veera after knowing the reason. Ratan uncovers the pump so that the men of the village stay away from her. She embraces a stranger mistaking him for Sampooran. Ratan breaks down into tears on recalling Sampooran. Chaiji tries to tell Ratan that Sampooran is dead as they have not received any information about him from the past five years. The stranger overhears Chaiji and Ratan's conversation.

Ranvijay and Veera meet a stranger named Nihal Singh outside their house. Chaiji invites Nihal into the house when he claims that he is Sampooran's friend. Ratan does not believe that Nihal is telling the truth. Veera serves lassi to Nihal. Ranvijay rebukes Nihal for imitating Sampooran. Ranvijay teaches Veera to put cover on her books. Veera and Ranvijay defend each other when Ratan scolds them. Ranvijay goes to Gunjan's house to copy class notes. Bansari dislikes Veera's presence in her house.

 

Veera blackmails Gunjan when she does not help Ranvijay with his class notes. Kartaar meets Nihal in a dhaba. Nihal claims that he is Sampooran's friend. Kartaar plans to find Sampooran's whereabouts with his help, and decides to keep him as his tenant. Ranvijay suffers from eye pain. Veera asks him to close his eyes, holds his hand and leads him to the house. Ratan tells her that Ranvijay has been lagging in his studies because of her. Veera asks Ranvijay not to sit in her class hereafter.

During the Lohri festival the village children go door to door singing folk songs to collect lohri. Ratan gives money to all the kids whereas Bansari gives lohri only to Baldev. Veera catches Baldev stealing lohri from Ranvijays pack. Ranvijay fights with Baldev to protect Veera. Ratan buys new clothes for her family including Sampooran. Veera rejects lohri from Gurpreet. Nihal insults Bakhtawar for badmouthing Sampooran Ratan and Kartaar. He gives money to Veera when Kartaar ignores her.

Ranvijay feels that Ratan is being partial by buying him a kurta for Lohri and just a plain dupatta for Veera. He makes a beautiful dupatta for Veera out of his kurta. Kartaar introduces Nihal as his tenant to Gurpreet. He becomes angry when she inquires if he had gone to Ratan's house. Nihal tells Kartaar that he has come to the village to meet Sampooran's family, and return the money he had lent him. Chaiji berates Ranvijay for ruining his kurta to make Veera happy.

Chaiji asks Ranvijay to hide the ruined kurta from Ratan. She goes to the shop and buys a similar kurta and dupatta for Ranvijay and Veera. Nihal sees Ratan driving the tractor in the village. Kartaar takes Gurpreet to Gurudwara. She becomes sick on the way. Chaiji advises her not to doubt Kartaar, and to be of moral support to him as he too grieves for their loss. Ratan comes home tired from the field. Veera gives her water. She wears the dupatta that Ranvijay had made and shows it to Ratan.

Ratan scolds Ranvijay for tearing the lace from his kurta in order to decorate Veera's dupatta. She proves that she is not a bad mother by showing him the lace and the stars that she had bought for decorating Veera's dupatta. Ranvijay apologises to Ratan. Gurpreet apologises to Kartaar for doubting him and promises to patch up with Ratan. Kartaar promises to give her first priority always. Ranvijay and Veera decorate Ratan's dupatta. Chaiji persuades Ratan to wear it to the Lohri celebration.

Baldev brags to his friends that his uncle had bought him a grand kurta for Lohri. He envies Veera when his friends desert him to compliment her dupatta. Ranvijay teaches Veera to do bhangra. Ratan and Gurpreet exchange Lohri greetings. Ratan sees the other wives and husbands performing the Lohri ritual together and yearns for Sampooran. Chaiji prays for a partner for Ratan. Nihal seeks her blessing. Baldev pushes Veera into a mud puddle. Nihal rescues her. Chaiji persuades Ratan to dance.

Ratan cooks special dishes for Lohri. She feeds Ranvijay and Veera. Ranvijay tells her that she is the best dancer in the village. Veera praises Ratan's cooking and gifts her with a lipstick. Ratan finds out that Veera had stolen the lipstick from Gunjan. She scolds her for stealing and asks her to return the lipstick to Gunjan with an apology. Ranvijay asks Ratan to wear makeup and dress up like before. He tells Veera a story to make her realise that stealing is a crime. Veera has a bad dream.

Veera goes to school early to apologise to Gunjan and return the lipstick to her. Gunjan suffers from small pox. Baldev informs the teacher that she is on leave. Veera sees a pot bellied man in school and thinks that he is a policeman. She becomes scared and hides in Ranvijay's class. She helps Ranvijay answer the teacher's questions. The teacher finds it out and praises Veera's intelligence. Gurpreet invites Ratan to her house and apologises to her. Ratan sees Nihal in Kartaar's house.
