Born into a powerful household, Raghav is the second son and black sheep of the family. He was blamed for the death of his beloved older brother Dev and thus he chose to leave his home behind, becoming a part-time mechanic and full-time rebel who would roam the streets of Gurgaon to protect the weak/poor.
Raghav was never an overachiever, striving for materialistic success/money. He never fit into his mother's image of a neat, successful, disciplined man with a list of accomplishments. Hair ruffled, shirt half-tucked, worn jeans and sneakers ' that is Raghav.
Pure-hearted, empathic, protective, kind, and strong are a number of adjectives that describe his character. He is noble, striving to save those who are lost ' even if it means losing himself in the process. He fights for justice, sacrifices without question, and gives without any consideration to himself. He never asks nor does he ever expect anything in return.
But deep down, he is as broken as those whom he attempts to save. He is haunted by ghosts from his past, crushed by self-blame, self-hatred, and a constant remorse that pushes him toward making amends. He is strength and empathy personified. Feeling others pain and making it his own, fighting to protect strangers more than he'd ever fight to protect himself ' this is what he is, what he knows to do.
He can be temperamental, yet he restrains himself. Man of a few words, but a man of action, of principles. He doesn't compromise with what he believes is right. He is like the calm before a storm. Like still waters that run deep. He is intelligent, constantly observing people around him. His every movement is deliberate and purposeful. Being straightforward and telling the truth lies in his nature just as protecting those weaker than him does.
His relationship to his mother is deeply damaged because of Dev's untimely death. Partly because Raghav left and didn't return home for fours year, and partly because his mother blames him for the accident. The fact that Raghav himself believes that he truly is to blame is what initially led to his absence [a self-hatred and shame that made him avoid eye-contact for more than a few seconds at a time]. But upon his recent return the relationship between him and his mother has tensed further, ripping up old wounds that never really healed.
The one element in Raghav's life that has kept him from straying and eventually self-destructing is the son of his brother ' Krish, the little boy who owns Raghav's heart and soul entirely. Krish is the foundation of Raghav's world and if anything ever happened to Krish, his world would crash. The fact that he has Krish is what has kept him from self-destructing a long time ago.
Essentially, Raghav is alone. He was stigmatized by his mother and that has stuck with him ever since. Now he only has one soul purpose: To fix the broken and make amends.
