Dear members, aap sabko Anandi ki shaadi mubarak ho!
First ceremony: Shiv and all other grooms hit the frames of Ganeshji hanging above with their swords. Ds gets a fb of J for a second
Then all brides' mothers welcome their Son-in-Law by performing aarti, tilak on them. Sumitra perfroms this ceremony with Shiv. Then Napna (measurement) ceremony follows. Reporters explain that by performing this ceremony, mothers try to guage, if their son-in law is suitable enough for their daughters or not.
Next comes the nose pulling ceremony. Sumi pulls his nose and everyone laughs loud. Reporters make light comments about the ceremony. Still pulling his nose, Sumi welcomes him inside.
The mandap is beautifully decorated. Everyone escorts Shiv to mandap, where he sees Anandi and he is stunned. He is totally lost into her while she is shy and happy. Both lost into each other. Everyone notices that and then Gehna brings Shiv to reality. Shiv slightly embarrased. All take seats. AnSh sit together.
Beautiful Rajasthani folk dances are formed by group of dancers on few different songs; Pallo latke, Dhol -nagara baje re, Runjhun baje ghunghra, helo sunojee, aayo re maro dholna. Everyone is very happy watching and enjoying.
Then CM is invited to make a speech. He says he is from the brides' side and is very happy to see all his daughters becoming brides. He then thanks all the grooms for their broad minded thinking and marrying these girls to give them a new life. He then specially thanks Collector Shiv Raj Shekhar and sarpanch Anandi Singh for participating in samuhik vivah, instead of a fancy wedding of their own. Both families take pride on hearing this. CM then wishes all of them a happy married life and leaves.
Vermala (garland exchange) ceremony is about to begin. Shiv crushes a little matki with his foot and Anandi bends to touch his foot. Just then a bride's father shouts saying, that the his daughter was to marry some Ranjit singh, but the groom is not the same. It creates some drama, but confusion is cleared when everyone finds out there are two Ranjit Singhs. All laugh and comentator comments that everyone should double check their respective bride grooms. A-S share smiles.
Ceremony begins; A is about to put veramala on S, but Mahi stops him saying he should not give in so easily. Shiv smiles and bends his head. Anandi is so pleased and puts vermala on him. Mahi comments that now Shiv has to bend all his life. Alok says, with a wife like Anandi, that would be a pleasure.
On Shiv's turn Gulli does not let Anandi give in easily. the girls tease him a bit, but Shiv manages his way to put vermala on A. Both happy.
Voice over: Samuhik Vivah is a very good initiative to bring changes in society, escpecially if it involves a case of re-marriage, as it gives new direction to the society.
