Actor Sushant Singh Rajput (left), who will be making his film debut with Kai Po Che!, is all praises for the film's director, Abhishek Kapoor.
"I was offered films before Kai Po Che! but nothing seemed exciting. After reading this film's script I was surprised because Abhishek could have chosen anyone for the role but he came to me. He is one of the most passionate filmmakers I've ever seen" says the 26-year-old, who had recently turned down offers worth R2 crore. "I've never worked for money or fame, my reason for being in this industry is because of the love and the rush I get when I'm on stage in front of the camera. I was one of the highest paid actors on TV but money is not my priority," he says.
About his journey from TV to films, Sushant says, "I've never
planned anything. I began my career with theatre and then went to TV.
Then I wanted to do a film making course but films came in my way and
that's what I want to do."
