The epi begins with Anu and Rohan seeing Muskaan in the shop. Muskaan greets Rohan awkwardly and vice versa. Rohan says, with a smile, you knew I was here and Muskaan replies that she is here to get Anirudh's engagement and stops midsentence. Rohan's face falls and Muskaan looks away. Rohan gets together and offers to help her find Anirudh a gift, Muskaan politely declines and says bye before walking off. Rohan watches her as she walks off and you can see the pain on his face.
The next scene begins in the Duggal Mansion and people are working in the house and Tara walks into the hall to see that things haven't been done yet. She yells for Nitai and he appears and she yells that things haven't been done yet and Nitai tells her that he is under the weather. She clearly doesn't care and tells him that because he's not feeling well, she is losing her mind and asks him if the paper came. Nitai tells her that he already gave it to her with tea this morning. She is clearly irritated and yells that she didn't mean that paper, she and he gets what she meant and he recollects, telling her that Preeti had brought it and said to give it to her. Tara asks him where it is and tells him to give it to her.
He takes it from the table and she yells at him for leaving such an important paper on the table like that and he apologises, explaining about the work he had to get done whilst Tara looks through the papers. She asks him where the last page is but he tells her that he doesn't know, that was how it was and assures her.
Tara gets her phone out to call Preeti and Preeti tells her that if she called to say thanks, then it's okay. Tara asks her what she's playing at and Preeti asks her that even after getting the divorce papers her attitude still hasn't changed and Tara informs her that the divorce papers are incomplete. Preeti can't believe it, she tells Tara that they had to face many problems when getting Rohan to sign those papers. Tara is quiet. Preeti tells Tara that she gave all the papers, in a brown envelope but Tara tells her that she didn't get any envelope and the papers are incomplete. Preeti tells her to talk to Nitai then, because she gave both things together and Tara ends the call.
Tara asks Nitai if there was an envelope with the papers. Nitai stutters and tells her that there was but tea spilt on it and he threw it away. Tara yells that there was a paper with it but he tells her that there wasn't. Tara yells at him to go and find it.
Abhi walks into the hall and tells Tara to calm down and asks her what's wrong. Tara is raging mad and yells that Nitai threw the last page of Rohan and Muskaan's divorce papers away. Abhi tells her not to let the neighbours know by shouting so loudly and tells her that they'll find it. Tara tells him that if Muskaan gets hold of it, then everything will be finished. Abhi is thinking mode.
Anirudh is on the phone to a florist and picking out Muskaan's favourite flowers and is staring at Muskaan's collage. His dadi walks in and tells Anirudh to stop staring at the picture of Muskaan and that soon the girl of his dreams will be in his life. She observes the pictures and Anirudh ask her what she's doing. She smiles and asks him if he's getting shy. He tells her yes, it's embarrasing. His dadi tells him that she didn't like Muskaan because she kept hurting her grandson but after seeing him happy and smiling like that, her life has extended by 5 years! Anirudh promises her that when Muskaan enters their home, her life will extend to 10 years.
His dadi gets upset and tells him that his mother has already planned to take Muskaan and Anirudh to London after they get married. Anirudh tells her that if they will go to London, they will all go together. And that if she doesn't go, neither will they. He asks her if she really thinks that he'll go to London without her. He tells her that she supported him, gave him courage, he won't go anywhere by leaving her. They both hug and Anirudh thanks her.
She tells him that he has to thank someone else, someone more important who deserves it. She tells him not to ask questions and follow her, which he does.
Anu and Rohan are in the car. Anu asks him if he is thinking about Muskaan. Rohan asks if Muskaan is the only topic they could talk about? Anu tells him that she's his good friend, she knows, just by looking at him, who he's thinking about. She tells him that he was strong when they left home, that they needed to get Muskaan a gift, but as soon as he saw her, what happened to him? Rohan tells her that he doesn't know what happened and thinks that God is enjoying his state, that is why He keeps bringing Muskaan in front of him. Anu tells him that it could be a test from God, of his patience and strength. Whether he is really strong or if it's just a pretense. Rohan says he's trying. Anu tells him that keep trying and that by someone's coming or going, the world doesn't stop. Anu tells him to think as if he's got a new start in life and tells him that she wants to take him somewhere before he begins that new life.
He asks where but she just tells him to take a right and then she'll tell him. He asks where they are going and Anu tells him he asks too many questions. She tells him that he is emotionally disturbed so they are going to a doctor which has the cure and he has no choice but to agree. Anu tells him to stop the car and he sees they have pulled up outside a Mandir. Anu tells him to come and Rohan follows her. As Anu begins talking, Rohan stops midway and looks up at the Mandir, taking his sunglasses off. Anu goes onto him that whenever she used to forget her dialogues or dance moves, she'd come here and her mind would feel relaxed. Rohan has flashbacks and tries to recollect a piece of memory, him and a woman with their backs to the camera. The memory is shown of them walking up the stairs, hand in hand. Rohan closes his eyes and remembers the holy fire, and the man (him) and woman walking up to the murtis together. Rohan seems to be having a headache as he is trying to remember those flashbacks again.
Anu calls him, but her voice is blocked out. She approaches him and asks him what is wrong, he looks like he is about to collapse. He looks straight up at the Mandir and is deep in thought.
After the break, Rohan walks up to the Mandir and approaches the murtis, where the pandit is standing there. Rohan asks the pandit whether he recognises him and in the background are Anirudh and his dadi. Anu joins him. The pandit tells Rohan that this is the first time he is seeing him.
Anu asks Rohan what is up and asks him why he is disturbed. She sees Anirudh and greets him and his dadi. Anirudh asks Rohan if he is okay and Rohan tells him that he seems like the place is known to him. He doesn't remember the way or anything, but he remembers the place before. He tries to remember and Anu asks him what the big deal is, it's near the house so may he come every now and then.
Rohan tells her that he came with a girl. Rohan tries his best to remember but can't remember anything and his head is hurting. Anirudh advises him not to try and remember because he could get ill. His memory will come itself. Anirudh asks him if he's coming tonight and Rohan tells him he will. Anirudh tells Rohan to call him if he needs anything and Rohan greets Dadi before leaving. Anu follows him. Anirudh stares at the murti.
Back at the Duggal Mansion, Muskaan is getting her hair done by a stylist and is deep in thought. She remembers how she and Rohan communicated through those cards. How he taught her how to play the guitar. How she bumped into him and fell onto him. Tears brim in her eyes as 'main vaari jaavan' plays in the background. She remembers when she told Rohan that she didn't love him and tried to control her tears as he walked off. She remembers them on the bike together. She remembers when they were in the coffee shop and Rohan asked her to confess her feelings. She remembers him moving a strand of hair away from her face before she got into the taxi. She remembers when she told him that she didn't love him. Tears fall down her cheeks as she looks down. The stylist asks her why she's crying and Muskaan tells her that it's nothing. She asks if she should begin the make up as they are already getting late.
After the second break Dadi and Anirudh are in the car. Dadi asks him if he's thinking about Muskaan and Rohan. He tells her yes and asks if he isn't doing anything wrong by hiding her past from her. Dadi tells him that he never did anything wrong before when it came to Muskaan so what would he do wrong now? Anirudh tells her that he couldn't do anything wrong with her. What he's doing is for her best. He doesn't want her to be hurt by her past. But he adds that just like Rohan is remembering things, Muskaan could also remember things.
Dadi tells him that anything could happen. And asks him has his love for Muskaan decreased. He replies no. Then where there's love, this question shouldn't arise. Anirudh says that he feels that he doesn't know whether he should hide such a thing from Muskaan.
She tells him that she'll leave the decision to him. But she will tell him that he has loved her and waited for so many years, when she is about to become his, then why he is he thinking about all this?
Dadi tells him that whatever happens is in God's hands and to leave the answers to these questions to God. Leave things as they are.
The scene changes to Rohan in his gallery. He takes his jacket off as Anu enters the room. She apologises for taking him to the Mandir.
He tells her that why she is apologising for something she hasn't done. He tells her that it's his problem. Anu tells him they should do something: by not going to Muskaan and Anirudh's engagement, they could go to Lonavla. It could be a long drive, it would make his mood better and they could go to Pune afterwards to party. Rohan tells her that he had promised Anirudh that he has to go. Anu tells him that he is going with her to Lonavla and that's the end of it before pushing him out of the door.
Tara walks into Muskaan's room and asks the stylist what is taking so long. Muskaan tells her not to worry. Tara tells her that today is a special day for her and asks if she is okay and Muskaan assures her that she is fine. Muskaan tells her if she makes a sad face and asks her like that then she'll start crying. Tara tells her no tears, it's a joyous occasion and she wishes that whereever her daughter goes, she remains happy, always smiling. Muskaan tells her that she will call the designer and to go and check the preparations outside. Tara begins to walk out slowly and thinks to herself where could the divorce papers go.
