Welcome to The Nach Baliye Season 5 Section. We
sincerely hope you have a great time here. We take this opportunity share the
rules and regulations developed specifically for this section to ensure a
peaceful atmosphere. We request everyone to read through these rules and are
hoping that all our members will abide by it. If you have any further
questions, please feel free to contact the Development Team Members. We hope
you all have a pleasant time here!
1. Moderation
Not
everyone on Dev Team is a moderator. Coolbies and Videobies do not fall under
the category of Moderation as they only provide updates. The Moderation chain
is as follows: Viewbie > Moderator > Channel Moderator. Your first
contact would be the section's Viewbie or Moderator as they will take care of
day to day activities on the forum. If you have complaints regarding moderation
those can be sent directly to CMs, but any other issues must be brought to the
attention of Viewbies and Moderators first. In the case of a member feeling
that a warning being given is not justified or there is an error then please pm
the DT member, but do not argue on the respective post and cause disruption. If
you are not satisfied with the answer then please direct the concerns to CMs.

2. Comparison Topics/Instigating Posts/Plotting
By now, we all know
instigating topics and comparison on the forum are not allowed. Some members
purposely instigate others and believe they can get away with it and some plan
attacks in other places and decide to disrupt the functioning of the forum.
This is all unacceptable and will not be tolerated!
3. Name-Calling/Stereotyping
Giving names to other fans/fan groups will not be tolerated. From now on name
calling, bashing other fans, or stereotyping will not be allowed. In addition,
comment on the show and not the viewers. Do not pass snide remarks at viewers
of the show just because their interest lies in something different from yours.
Also, no nicknames for the celebrities will be tolerated (unless DT permission is granted)! You
either use their real first or last name or their initials.
4. No Moral Policing
Please refrain from engaging in any moral policing around the NB forum. If you
find anyone breaching rules, please Report the topic and or contact the section
DT. The section DTs will deal with the issue at the
earliest opportunity possible. India Forums is a platform to
allow everyone to express their opinions freely within the COC and respectable
limitations. Members have the freedom to express their own perspective, which
may disagree with and or contradict someone else's point of view. Everyone is
welcome to express their opinions within the NB rules and IF COC. Hence, moral
policing will NOT be tolerated.
5. Report Button/Response Time
If you come across any issue on the forum that may require immediate
attention, please use the REPORT button to report to the development team
rather than trying to solve the matter yourself. The development team will look
into the matter as soon as possible! Please
keep in mind that DT cannot be here 24/7 as they too have their personal life.
Please allow a reasonable time frame of at least 24 hours before escalating the
issue and PMing a moderator. We try to address reports as soon as we can.
Please avoid PMing the Moderators unless the issue has been neglected for way
too long or it is an extremely pressing matter.
6. Language:
A lot of members try to use code words and asterisk and try to get away with
such language. Well, It won't happen from now on. This decision has been made
by the Global moderators themselves.
Ex: W*F (What the Fish is a lame excuse so do not try)

7. Bashing/Personal Attacks/Sarcasm
Bashing and making personal attacks against any actor/actress/fangroups/members
is not allowed. Make sure members know the difference between bashing and
criticism. A critic is one who discusses things in perspective, never loses
objectivity and states things in a logical and constructive way. But a basher
is one, who states the points a bit too heavily such that it no longer looks
like criticism but looks like a total attack. Everyone has their own point of
view, let's respect it. You have the right to raise your opinion but one should
see lines aren't crossed. Avoid making posts that are abusive, derogatory,
insulting or sarcastic enough to affect the sentiment of another member. This
is against IF COC and won't be tolerated.
Keep a control on your sarcasm. If the DT feels that your post is no longer
critiquing, but is full of sarcasm/attacks... that will be held against you.
8. Multiple IDs (MIDs)
India-forums.com Code of Conduct strictly prohibits members from having
multiple IDs. Please refrain from making MIDs, especially to bash
celebrities, characters and/or members. If ever convicted with having
MIDs, all except the most active ID will be inactivated, followed by a raise in
WL to the active ID.
9. Quoting posts/chatting
Please refrain from quoting long posts and/or multiple posts at once, as it
lengthens the posts and may also alter the codes, making it difficult for the
readers. If you wish to reply to a post by someone else, simply quote the
member's post and delete the parts other than the ones you wish to address. You
may also use @ followed by the member's name (for example: @luvya4ever: your
point).
Also, please refrain from chatting in the discussion threads, which are meant
exclusively for the topics in discussion.
10. Repeated Topics
Please avoid posting the same topics more than once. We kindly request everyone
to check the section (through the search feature) if the topic you intend to
post has already been posted or not prior to proceeding.
11. Appreciation Threads
We have allowed appreciation threads to discuss about the respective
actors/couples. So please stick to the topic and do not wonder away with
non-relevant discussions. Do not use AT to chat, or talk about other
characters/actors. NO AT can be started
without the moderator's permission. If any AT is seen to breach
the rules, there will be consequences including and up to permanent AT closure. Also,
if an AT admin fails to respond to the requests of members and/or make the next
AT in a timely manner, the DT reserves the right to remove their AT admin
rights.
12. Writing in capitals
Please refrain from using all CAPITAL letters as it is considered to be the
equivalent of shouting on the internet!
13. Discussing an Actor's Personal Life
You have the right to comment on actors, their dance & their style. But you
CANNOT comment on an actor's personal life and people who are part of their
personal sphere. What any celebrity does in their personal life is private and
not up for discussion on IF.
14. Posting Email Address or Personal Pictures of Celebs
Accounts or email address of stars is not allowed to be posted or revealed
unless they themself give it. Also, posting your email address on open forum is
not allowed. Moreover, no personal pictures of stars from Facebook or Orkut are
allowed to be posted.
15. Using Signatures
As per IF rules, a member is allowed to
use three signatures, of which one can be animated. Do not use wallpaper size
signatures in your signature. To know the exact details you can read ATTN:

Signatures bashing actors/members will not be tolerated. If an inappropriate
signature is not removed at the moderator's request, then the signatures will
be removed by Moderators themselves and will count as one strike.
16. Use the Like Button
The "Like" button doubles as a simple "Thank you" to limit spamming.
Saying thanks, tfs, etc. constitutes to spamming. If you have nothing more to
say apart from thanks then you can thank using the Like button.
17. Help topics:
If you have any queries regarding the show then please post it in the Help
Desk. We will definitely try our best to help out there.
18. Rules regarding FB status/Tweets:
NB5 is a new season and we have a dedicated forum to discuss the current on air show. Keeping this in mind DT would like to make it clear .
a) Tweets by the past contestants or celebrities related only to the current season NB5 will be allowed .
b) Any other random tweets by the past contestants which has no relevance to the NB5 will be closed/trashed.
c) Any personal tweets by non-celebrity members / forum members even if it pertains to NB5 are absolutely not acceptable in this forum .
We respect IF members privacy and would prefer members social interaction outside the India-Forums ( FB/Twitter/LinkedIn,G+,Myspace,Pinterest etc) is not brought into this forum. Any such posts violating a member's privacy will be trashed immediately and a warning level will be increased.
d) An official Twitter thread may be opened , where members can post new tweets pertaining to the current season and its contestants.
19. Previous Seasons Contestants:
Past contestant(s) can be mentioned as a side note or a reference to prove a point in a discussion about current season. Making the whole topic based on past contestants as center point of discussion won't be allowed.Whether the discussion is allowed to continue or not will be left to DT's discretion.
20. Spoilers:
Members are requested not to post spoilers randomly. To reduce the clutter of repetitive threads and make it easier for members , the DT will open and maintain the spoiler thread. All nonessential posts or chatting will be deleted.
Moderation issues will be entertained only
by PM to DT.
Reminding again: remember NB is a different show than the regular soaps/serials
and hence don't judge the celebrities keeping in mind the characters they
played on some other show.
