Since I don't see an update, and I just saw the recording, I'll fill up Friday's update:
The scene starts w/ the previous episode, where Ananya challenges Viraj to show his right leg. Viraj unfolds his jeans, and Ananya is shocked to see it - there are no scars. Everybody - police, Mahila Mukti Morcha chief, is convinced that Ananya is lying, and then leaves (after Viraj makes some real barbs against reporters for abusing their powers.) Mrs Vyas apologizes to Viraj for interrupting him, but Viraj thanks her and accepts the saris. Ananya and Raj leave. Mrs Vyas describes to Viraj how the dhobi left his saris w/ her by mistake. She then leaves.
After Viraj is alone w/ Unniyal, he orders him to get some pain killers and the med box. He then unfolds his jeans again and pulls down the garter. Beneath it is the torn flesh of where Ananya had wounded him. Unniyal is surprised, and was of the opinion that he was @ Jaipur. Viraj explains to him that he had gone to the farmhouse, done his stuff there, then w/ the help of the security guard, whom he had bribed, he got a taxi and managed to get to the airport, and get the next flight to Jaipur. This morning, he returned from there. He then sends Unniyal out to get some pain killers.
Back home, Mrs Paromita Ghosh asks Ananya what had happened, since Raj had told her briefly about how she was in some trouble, but Ananya brushes it off.
Mrs Vyas later goes to Viraj's home, and finding neither of them there, thinks that it's a good opportunity to investigate, given the strange behavior of Viraj getting Jhanvi's saris washed daily. While going through the rooms, she gets to a place and sees something that shocks her - a bottle of embalming chemical. While she's shocked, Unniyal comes in, and Mrs Vyas manages to not draw attention. Her phone rings - it's from Ananya, but she cuts it.
Later, in her house, the bell rings, and it's Viraj. Mrs Vyas is surprised to see him, but welcomes him home. He then asks her whether Jhanvi is angry or upset @ him. She asks him why he thinks that, and he tells her that on the occasion of her b'day, he's not been able to fill in her emptyness. Mrs Vyas suggests that he throw a b'day bash for her, and Viraj likes the idea. Mrs Vyas asks him what gift he has in mind, and Viraj tells her that a gift from the heart will come from the heart. Mrs Vyas smiles, but after Viraj leaves, wonders @ the significance of that statement.
Later, Mrs Vyas meets Ananya, and tells her about what she saw in Viraj's room. He had embalming chemicals, which is normally used to preserve dead bodies, but wonders how can one do anything like that. Ananya reminds him that they are talking about Viraj - what normal people can't think of, Viraj can do. She asks whether Jhanvi's cremation was actually done, and Ananya says that that's a question that has to be put to Uma. They call Uma's home, but hear that she & her family had gone to a temple, and would be back in the evening.
Back @ work, the boss tells Raj that they've been invited by Viraj to Jhanvi's b'day bash. Raj is ticked that he has accepted, but the boss tells him that this is the one opportunity the channel has to repair relations w/ Viraj and the Mahila Mukti Morcha. Raj tells him that the staff may go, but Ananya won't. Ananya cuts in and says that she will go. The boss thanks her and leaves. Raj asks Ananya why, and she tells him about what Mrs Vyas saw, and that she will need a day to gather all the evidence to expose Viraj.
Later that evening, Ananya & Mrs Vyas meet Uma. They ask her about whether she witnessed Jhanvi's last rites, and she describes to them how Viraj threw the ashes into the air. Ananya says that this would prove the lie about Viraj loving Jhanvi. Mrs Vyas then asks again whether Uma had actually seen Jhanvi's corpse, or witnessed the cremation, and Uma is surprised @ her question. Ananya says that he has not cremated Jhanvi after all, and it's now a matter of exposing him.
Precap: Raj tells Ananya that there was a cake in Viraj's basement, beside which there was a substance. Unniyal got beaten badly by Viraj for touching it. Ananya tells him that that is the thing that she is after, and what they need to get hold of to expose Viraj.
Comments:
Viraj managing to hide his wound behind a garter was unconvincing - few will mistake it as his skin. But that's what this serial passes off as his genius. Not much to his Delhi-Jaipur rendezvous - only, how did he get to impersonate a politician?
Mrs Vyas' discovery of the embalming chemical confirmed what some have speculated - that Viraj had not cremated Jhanvi, but had embalmed her. The embalming chemical, combined w/ the expensive freezer which he did not want technicians to come & fix, all point to that. But I'm not getting the sari deal here - does he actually change the body saris every day?
Another question in mind - does Viraj suspect Mrs Vyas, and is he playing a double game w/ her - pretending to trust her, while getting pretexts on which to call her? First, it was the invitation, and later, it was when Ananya herself happened to be in Mrs Vyas' house. Mrs Vyas would have done better visiting Ananya instead.
The meeting w/ Uma was good - at least, they've now figured that Viraj didn't ever actually cremate Jhanvi, and that he's probably embalmed her body, and that's why he wants to get back the heart from Ananya. It will be interesting to see whether they succeed in exposing Viraj this one last time.
