Alaxmi to go off-air on 26 January

Hats off Production's weekly family drama Alaxmi - Hamari Super Bahu on Life OK got another lease of life after getting an extension of three months some time back.

However, the latest news that we have received is that the show will finally go off-air on 26 January 2013.

Sources inform that the decision has been taken since Alakshmi failed to impress viewers. The makers of the show tried various things, right from changing the storyline to re-christening the show as 'Alaxmi Ka Super Parivaar' but despite all attempts the show failed to garner good numbers.

When contacted, Producer JD Majethia confirmed the news and said, "Yes, the show is going off-air on 26 January. The three months extension contract is coming to an end on 26 January. The show had potential but I think the weekend slot somewhere worked against our show. I think our experiment failed but I am happy that we tried our best and gave some good episodes."
