The episode starts with a policeman entering Viraj's jail cell and asking him to sign a file which if he signs means he has accepted all his crimes. Viraj takes the pen from the police officer.
The policeman informs Ananya + Raj by phone that Viraj has signed the file without leaving any conditions aswell as not reading the file, much to their shock. Ananya is left in thought. Next, it is shown that Uma has arrived to the Ghosh house. Mrs Ghosh warmly welcomes Uma and Ananya gives her a hug. Uma gets emotional and she starts to cry, on this Ananya wipes her tears away and asks her not to cry because finally her daughter found freedom. Uma explains that her tears are tears of joy. She goes onto say that she first used to cry because Jhanvi had left this world but now she is happy that she has left this world and got freedom.
Uma continues that, what no one could do you have done. Viraj will finally get his pay and Jhanvi will get her justice. Uma say she will ever be indebt of this favour. To all this Ananya says that this was not only Jhanvi's fight but her fight as well because now that all of Jhanvi's emotions are connected to her she was bound to do something.
Ananya by herself in her office talking to Jhanvi's picture, she tells the photo that Jhanvi has changed her life so much- it has changed her as a person. She then tells the photo that now that she has her (Jhanvi's) gotten freedom her justice will soon come too.
Raj comes in and asks Ananya if she is ready. She doesn't reply. Raj goes and stops her from playing with her thumbs and says that you have fought Jhanvi's war all by yourself and now the whole world will get to know the deeds of Viraj Dobriyal. Her voice will be spread. Ananya asks Raj if he is sure this will happen. He says he is sure, but not before teasing her. Ananya continues, and says that for society to become better there thinking needs to be positive. Today she will see if the people do want to change. Her and Raj leave for the on-air news report.
Ananya starts her news report, it is shown that many people tune in to watch the news. She starts of by saying last time when she revealed the truth, Viraj could very smartly cover up his deed and turn them into positive things which the public accepted and took Viraj as their hero. This time, Ananya says that she will again look at this story but from a different point of and she will first start with some questions. 'Why is our society so male-dominated?.' ' Why are the rules for men and women not equal?,' 'Why are women always shown responsible, if a man hits his wife it is his right but if a woman, just raises her voice she is considered a sinner?.' 'If a marriage ends, why is it the woman to be questioned first?,' 'Why is this inequality in our society?'
Ananya says she has the answer for all these questions and explains that 'In our country where women are considered godesses, where they are venerated and loved they are however are not respected. It is insead us, who encourage monsters like Viraj Dobriyal to do evil deed. She says that the truth can be hidden but not forever. Which is why everything she has said against Viraj till date all has evidence, so she can prove everything he has done wrong. Which is why, she explains that it is this evidence that has has put Viraj behind bars, under the police's control and has accepted all his crimes. Domestic Violence and Murder along with many other misdeeds will be accepted by him in court today. What Viraj has done with his wife Jhanvi, is something Ananya says she does not need to explain but she says that instead of cremating Jhanvi's body, Viraj kept the body with him, not letting Jhanvi's soul resting in peace. Till date Viraj had kept Jhanvi's body with him and it is for this evidence that he is behind bars today. Ananya says that now she has another question, to which the many viewers watching her show nod to. She asks the crime which Viraj has committed, the sin he has done upon Jhanvi should he be punished?, what should be done to Viraj to make sure than no one will ever even have the to give birth to another Viraj/be one?, How should we educate people to respect women? Because until women aren't repected and are not given their rights these crimes will continue to be committed. Women like Jhanvi will still suffer under the hands of people like Viraj and people like Jhanvi's mother will continue to cry over her daughter's way of life. The question has been, now it is your turn to annswer what punishment should be given to Viraj that will change society for the good. Ananya says that I have fought Jhanvi's unfinshed war now it is your turn to complete all the other women who are under the same fate to get justice. And with this Ananya finishes her on-air segment with much applause.
Raj congratulates her and asks her what happened when he sees her upset face. She explains that her light feels lighter now and feels as if she has gotten a large burden off her back. She says that today what the public give as Viraj's punishment will from that point onwards will be known as 'Jhanvi ka insaaf' (Jhanvi's justice)
Viraj arrives in court, Ananya walks in just as it is about to start. and requests the judge if she can make an appeal. The judge accepts and Ananya asks if she herself can be advocate for Jhanvi in this case, The judge permits her to do so.
Ananya says, even after many court hearings, Viraj is still walking around free. After cases of domestic violence and murder, he still get the same amount of privileges. She says that she doesn't blame the court and its orders but blames the people. Even after knowing that Viraj is a criminal he is still treated the same. He made Jhanvi's life living hell and when someone would support her they would be killed by Viraj. Ananya say that she has many things that can prove Viraj is a criminal but she would Jhanvi's mother Uma to say her point of view. (Close up on KVB's face- great acting).
Uma says that she hasn't come to say anything bad about anyone, but would like the person who is the sinner of her daughter to be given the most torturous punishments. One of them being for him to rot in jail so he knows what it is like to keep someone trapped. Uma say she believes in God and believes that in his house there is light and not darkness, so after many days of darkness- light will eventually come and bring in positivity. She says that she believes Viraj will be punished today but it does not make her happy in seeing him being punished because her daughter will not return even if he is given the worst of the worst punishments. It will only make her happy, when she now knows that husbands think twice before raising their hand on their wife, it will make her happy when thousands of girls raise their voice against their cruel husbands and with that, in tears Uma leaves.
Ananya now says that she would like to show him the file after which, she will not need to call upon any witness or need any other evidences.
The judge is given the file. Ananya explains that in this file Viraj has accepted all his crimes and will go through all the punishments that are given to him. She tells the judge give him the worst of the worst penalties so that no women has to go through the pain Jhanvi had to go through and with this punishment make a new example for society to follow.
The judge then asks Viraj what his thoughts about the statement are. Viraj says that he accepts all his crimes. (Mere saari gunnah qubool hai!). Ananya is shocked and the judge nods. The episode end on Viraj's 'lost in deep thought' face.
