Thanks for this thread..

Bapu always taught us to walk on the path of humanity..to respect others, enemies or friends..to stand for ur rights, but in the process never hurt anyone..to always practice truth n non-violence..qualities much needed today...if Bapu was alive the world would be a better place to live...

My salutes n respect for the brave man, whose only weapon ever was non-violence...

Nice topic.

Three questions from me on Gandhi ji :-

1) A wave of violent communal riots swept over country in 1924 on account of which Gandhiji felt very much upset and was in great distress, knowing not what to do. The terrible riots that broke out at a particular place led Gandhiji to do penance by Observing a fast for 21 days. Which was that place?

(a) Wardha
(b) Garhwa
(c) Kohat
(d) Belgaum

2) Who of the following industrialist is known to be the adopted son of MK Gandhi?

(a) Ramsay Macdonald
(b) Harilal Gandhi
(c) Jamnalal Bajaj
(d) Pattabhai Sitaramayya

3) Day of Mahatma Gandhi death :-
(a) International day of non-violence
(b) Kasturba bai soldier day
(c) Martry's day
(d) None of above

First of all, great job on the post! :)

Coincidently my friend and I were just talking about Gandhiji. Gandhiji is an inspiration to everyone, not just Indians. His principles and visionary are so intact.

Bappu, we love you and shall always be in debt to you.

You are my role model and inspiration.

THE FATHER OF INDIA- I salute you - thanks for making this great post - my mum saw him when she was really little years ago in her village in Gujarat & she remembers that he walked with long strides with his really long stick- in UK - where I live they have a statue of him complete with his glasses!!
