The positive feature is many backward class students talking against reservation.Their speeches show  their self confidence.Instead of praising them the elders started criticising him.One even arrogantly asked him what was your muppaattanar's job.This is plain insulting which Gopinath should have edited.If great grand father's job is lowly does it justify reservation if so ,many brahmins should be eligible for it because many of them(including Adhi sankara and Thiagagaraja carnatic music composer) lived on unchavritti that is going house to house collecting alms.There was a section called savundi brahmanan who attend ceremonies following death in a house hold where he is represents cadaver(Preda swarupi)

Another elder said the current generation thinks that being modern means weariing modern dress.Perhaps he thinks that being modern means punishing the present day youth for their ancestors allegedly prevented backward students studying.Their being unable to study was because of poverty and economic criterion for judging backwardness is rational but TN rationalists would not accept.The current criterion is arbitrary for exaample weaver mudaliars are considered backward while other mudaliiars are forward.Some sections of reddiars "Konda reddiars are considered backward,others are forward..Many castes got included in the list because they were influential with the ruling party not to speak of bogus caste certificates(Even a judge from TN has produced such a certificate.While reservation for scheduled castes/tribes is fully justified the so called MBC and BC is a fraud .It must be borne in mind that the so called MBCs only were responsible for Dharmapuri riots and for preventing Dalits becoming chairmen for some panchayats.For such prevention should their  caste not be removed from backward list? following the the logic of yerteryear"oppressors"should be called forward.
