Episode starts with an unknown character having a printed paper with him on the table dialing somewhere from his cell phone. KD, in his car, dialing home. His daadi received his call and informed him that something is going wrong there and insists KD to come back home probably to handle the situation. Daadi ji then insisted KD to have a word with his dad; for which KD acknowledged that he trying calling him, however he couldnt connect to him and confirmed her that he would try to call his dad again.
After the call, KD then tuned to 99.9 Blue FM where RJ Madura was hosting her Q&A live show "Mumbai meri jaan". First caller, Mr. Girish started shooting his questions, mainly related to his boss 😉 , and RJ Madura kept on answering his queries, ofcourse in a humorous manner 😊 . KD too was tuned to the live show; when suddenly public tuned to the show (Including KD) could hear RJ Madura's scream. Radio station staff gathered there alongwith the Police ( Inspector Dave leading the team ). In a paralel track, we could see a person destroying his SIM card. Upon the initial investigation, it was found that RJ Madura was murdered by a karate shot onto her neck; which was confirmed upon postmortum. Producer Vibor Mitra then explained Insp. Dave that he too had been to RJ Madura's cabin for a while when she was set for the show and discussed a bit on the degradation of the show ratings. Then, Madura was seens as back to work handling the next caller. Upon asked, Vibhor informed Dave that after he left the RJ cabin, Swaroop had entered there as he had his next show "Bolti band"; which was neck-to-neck with RJ Madura's show. Upon Vibhor being asked again by Dave whether Swaroop is skilled with Karate or not, he confirms yes (infact his is a 6 degree black belt and additionally, he is an owner of a karate school as well apart from his RJ profession) and based on the facts that during the live show when Madura was murdered, Swaroop the only person was in the RJ cabin and in addition to it, he knows Karate; Dave arrested RJ Swaroop and charge sheet was filled against him accordingly.
KD was found playing cricket with Varun in the office itself; paralelly discussing about the RJ Madura murder. During this process, KD's assistance Ms. Bilimoria recalled him about whether he had called back to his dad or not. As he answered "no" and confirmed that he had a word with his daadi, the bugging kid entered is office and asked KD to give him one more interesting riddle to solve. To get rid of that bugging kid, KD shot a question "why people in China consume more rice than people in Japan" and asked him to come back with the answer to this riddle.
KD gets a call related to RJ Madura murder case and he was informed that RJ Swaroop has been arrested and he wants to meet KD (obviously to appoint him as his defense lawyer). As we already know, unless and until, KD is not convinced that the accused is innocent, he doesnt show interest to the case. After meeing RJ Swaroop; trying to discuss on the topic and seeing his "Bol bachhan" character, he was not convinced that his is innocent (as Swaroop was the only person available in the RJ room when public could hear her scream) and initially refused to take up the case and walked away.
KD was then see with PP Ms. Bose discsusing on the case; wherein Ms. Bose explained all the facts available in the charge sheet which were all and strong against RJ Swaroop and suggested KD not to take up this case, as he would definitely loose it. Infact, Varun too has the same thinking as of Ms. Bose. KD then asked Varun to go to the radio station to investigate on this murder. In an another track, an unknown person was seen on the road; walking towards the dustbin; takes a disposible cup and takes out some money out of it. Varun, during investigation at the radio station, found some marriage invitation cards on Swaroop's desk. Upon questioning to the office members, he got the knowledge that Swaroop's sister is getting married in the same month. Upon investigation, Varun comes back to the office and updates KD on the information he got. KD then reads the marriage invitation card and thinks something and utters "how can it be possible".
On the other hand, the same unknown person was found gambling and lost all the money he had with him. Since he was addicted to gambling; he wanted to play even further and went outside and called someone to arrange money for him urgently and blackmailed about the RJ Madura murder case and asked the person to drop the money in the same dustbin (it's the same place and unknown person which was shown in one of the prior scenes) by evening. He then borrows 5K from one of the gamblers and assured him that he would return back the money by evening.
KD again went to meet Swaroop in the lockup and explained him that he would not be ready to take up his case as he himself is not convinced that Swaroop is innocent. Moreover, he further updated saying all the witnesses and evidences are strongly against him. KD then turned back to walk away, when he found Swaroop crying and uttering what would happen to his sister; and her marriage and cancellation of her marriage due to the fact that Swaroop (Bride's brother being accused in a murder case). Hearing these words, KD felt that Swaroop might be innocent and there is no harm is defending his case.
In the court room, Ms Bose started shooting various aligations on RJ Swaroop, and with her statement that Swaroop was the only person available in the room when RJ Madura was murdered, trying to prove that he is the only murderer. In return, KD stated his logical question that if he wanted to murder Madura, he is not so fool that he would choose a place/situation which is evident to lakhs of public 😉 . Ms Bose then changed the angle and interpreted that he might not have done in foolishness, but in impulse. Then she finally proved Swaroop's implusive nature to the court. She also proved that RJ Madura and RJ Swaroop were rivals and they usually had fights every now and then. All the radio station guys worked as witness against Swaroop and his impulsive nature. During the wife-husband sort of battle field situation between Swaroop and Ms. Bose, KD interrupted and again used his logic that Swaroop stayed had entered the RJ cabin 5 minutes prior to Madura's murder and during this short period, how is it possible that he solved the puzzle (from an English newspaper) and executed the murder as well. He added, if he had the motive to murder, he should have directly executed the murder and fled away instead of waiting there and solving puzzles. 😉 . Ms Bose then stated one of the possibilities saying Swaroop might have solved the puzzle earlier and had the newspaper with him; entered the RJ cabin and kept the paper on the table and murdered.
KD objected on this statement; however he didnt have any proof which would support him and confirm the court that the newspaper didnt come along Swaroop, instead it was lying in the same room. KD demanded the court to listen the call conversation between Girish (caller) and RJ Madura which took place during the murder. Since the time was over for the day, the court got adjourned for the day.
Outside the court room, producer Vibhor approached KD and requested him to be the guest for the live show wherein he can interact with lakhs of public and have a Q&A session with them relevant to law topics. KD accepted the offer and landed to the radio station for the show. In the RJ room, new RJ, Annanya (who had replaced RJ Madura) greeted him and offered the chair. Meanwhile, KD looked at the RJ chair and started analyzing something related to it height; whether anyone would be able to see the person sitting on the chair or not; etc. So, "Mumbai Madness" live show started with KD for Q&A related to law. And he started attending and answering the questions (ofcourse in humorous manner) of a number of peculiar callers and their same standard questions 😉 . How ridiculous questions, wife-saas problem; student-teacher problem related to homework; dog-owner problem; dentist-patient problem etc etc 😉 . Finally the time came to attend the last lucky caller of the show. KD getting ready to attend the last caller. Suddenly he hears the name "Guddu", which is KD's nick name and the caller was no other than his MOTHER 😉 . I don't know whether it was a shock or a pleasant surprise for KD hearing his mother's voice.
