The last scene of part 1 continues with the "Beta-Ma" conversation. Mom tries to convince KD over live show that his dad loves him a lot and all the family members are missing him. KD is reluctant to discuss these personal and emotional matters in air ie. live show where there are lakhs of public including PP Ms Bose hearing and understand the matter. However, mom continues with her conversation that KD didnt call them, that's the reason why she would like to talk in the live show itself. She explains him that some mishap has occurred in his dad's business due to which nothing is going on well. In addition, Goldie is missing for the past few days and she or any of the family members is not aware of where and in which situation he is. Upon KD insisting his mom not to talk such matters in public and he (KD) would call her back; she requested to call his dad (KD's dad) and have a word with him after the live show is over. KD agrees to her and that's the end of the live show.
The emotions was flowing through the radio station and everyone looked shocked about the fact; probably non of them were aware of. This emotional maahol made KD's eyes wet. Upon the completion of the show, Vibhor enters the RJ room with Madura's last call CD recording; appreciating KD for such an awesome conversation (actually, by awesome he meant for, "Beta-Ma" conversation) and hoping for better and improved TRP rating.
KD in his office with Varun and Ms. Bilimoria discussing on his mother's conversation, and that too in public. After Varun and Ms Bilimoria insisting him to call his dad, he finally dialed his number, which displayed as "Karanvir Shekhavat" on his cell phone. Still seemed to be ignorant to call his dad; but finally he gave a 2nd try and the call got connected. 😉 . Mr. Shekhavat received the call; though in a rude voice asked KD why did he call him. KD patiently replied saying as he (Mr. Shekhavat) was trying to call him earlier, he (KD) tried calling him back to enquire what was the matter. Mr. Shekhavat rudely replied that it has been a long time ago he had called and then their conversation got over. The bugging kid jumped into the scene again with an answer to KD's riddle (ofcourse, the answer was incorrect 😉 ) and KD forced the kid to run away from there by shooting another question for his dad which was supposed to be answered by his dad's boss 😉 (really risky for the kid's dad 😉 ).
Keeping the personal episode aside, KD then get's back to work ie. "RJ Madura murder case" which was a hot cake for him for the moment 😉 . He asked Varun to play the last call recording which he believe could be one of the vital evidences supporting him. Probably, KD might have understand some important point or got some good lead out of the recording; however, the next scene for viewer directly jumped into the court room for the hearing.
KD played the recording in the court where I highlighted the last word uttered by Madura before she died ie. "chodo" . Taking this word forward, KD explained that if the murder weapon is karate stroke, why would Madura utter this word before her death. Thus, it clearly explains that the murder had held her throat and that's the reason why her voice might have changed. Since this point was not sufficient enough to defend Swaroop; KD then turned to Swaroop and inquired about who all entered the RJ room before Swaroop had entered. He confirmed Vibhor came before he entered the cabin, then office boy Mandaar, and film actress Latika who entered after Swaroop was already in the cabin solving cross-word. KD called Vibhor in the witness box and questioned; like was Madura talking over radio at that moment, how was her health, etc. and Vibhor answered appropriately based on the questions. However, he noticed one point and explained to the court that the RJ cabin temperature was 20 degree Celcius, though, Madura was sweating (which is actually odd and shows something is wrong on Madura's health). Then it was Latika's turn to enter the witness box. She explained the story what had happened and why did she enter the cabin. Then was the office boy's turn. Finally after questioning these witnesses, one point of clear that none of them had a word with Madura during their visit.
After the statement sessions of KD's witnesses were over, Ms. Bose proposes her witness. It was shocking for us as the her witness was none other than our favorite defense lawyer Mr. KD Pathak 😉 LOL ... Ms Bose questioned KD about the incident which happened for which KD himself was one of the listeners to the show. He answered Ms Bose's questions correctly which indicated that none other but Swaroop can murder Madura. KD himself was not convinced about the interpretation done with Ms Bose, as he has a thinking that "Jaisa kuch dikhta hai, wahsa hota nahi hai aur wo hota hai, jo dikhta na" .
After the court proceedings, the scene shifts to the gambler on some call asking for more money, as he already lost the previous amount in gamble. The other party agreed to pay him the amount, but for the last time. KD in is office looking at the radio station office pictures; and upon asked by Varun, he says he is trying to find out the newspaper which RJ Swaroop claims that it was already lying on the table in RJ cabin and didnt get it along with him from outside. KD locates the newspaper in the photo where the cross-word game as unattempted. This mean, RJ Swaroop was right and he had started solving it after entering into RJ cabin; however, KD confirms, this information is not sufficient to save Swaroop. Upon further investigation, KD finds that there was water fallen on some set of papers on RJ table with a glass of water. Seeing that, KD gets confident that he would be now able to defend Swaroop effectively and prove that he is innocent.
The scene again jumps to the gambler fetching the blackmailed amount from the same dustbin, when a car approaches him and asked him to avoid visiting the court.
In the court room, KD shows the photo (where the set of papers where lying wet on RJ table); where Ms. Bose didnt find anything important 😉 (which was her mistake). KD then thought of having a demo session in the court room that too accidentally. So, he pushed the glass full of water onto Ms Bose's document. Upon this, Ms. Bose tried to save her papers and grabbed them with her. KD then explained, this is a natural tendency that whenever, some water falls to the paper or any object on the table, the person will try to save it by changing it's place and landing them to the safer side. But, this natural tendency didnt happen with RJ Madura; which clearly means, RJ Madura was already dead during her live show since the beginning. Now the question is, where did the live conversation of Girish and Madura come from???
To get the answer to this question, KD had a thought that Madura's and Girish's voice might be the recording. However, Prateek (The sound person) confirms that Girish's call was really a live one and it was not at all recorded. He had infact discussed with Girish over call just before the Q&A session started. Now, another question comes in mind "how can we have one real call and the other recorded call in live show, where both way conversation is in sync ??? Infact, the judge too believes that the call doesnt seem to be recorded. Varun approaches Vibhor to fetch the details of the caller Girish for further investigation on whether the caller's voice was recorded or was really live. Varun then reaches KD's office and calls to the number, but unfortunately the number was not in service, which means, the caller Girish had changed his number and ofcourse increased the level of complexity for KD to win the case.
The gambler again was found of an unknown call wherein the other party asked him to be underground as KD is looking for him. Gambler asked for further amount as a blackmailing amount, however, the unknown person refused to give me. So, the gambler called KD and revealed that he is Girish and he wants to reveal the fact about the murder; however in return, he asked for 10L as his fee 😉 . KD intelligently recorded the call to his mobile. Girish proposed the time 11PM to meet him with 10L so that he (Girish) would reveal the fact and handover all the important leads and proofs. Once the call with Girish was over, KD instructed Varun to make a copy of the recent conversation recording and wait for further instruction.
Girish reaches the meeting place on time when he gets a call from the same unknown person; to whom he confirms that there is no point in calling now as he is now about to handover the proofs to KD in return of 10L. Girish then had another thought of blackmailing 20L instead of 10L from the unknown person and he gives a call back to it. Suddenly he find the phone ring which was very close to him. He then finds the unknown person in front of him with a gun. Unknown person then shot Girish and fled away; when Varun reached the spot. After Varun failed to catch hold of the murdered, he returns back to Girish and didnt find anything with him. He then called Inspector Dave to inform him about the murder.
Varun is now back to KD's office where KD is seems to be very worried about the case. He then instructs Varun to inquire about Girish at his address. As soon as Varun leaves for the place, the bugging kid again enters KD's office with a talking parrot with him and excitedly says KD that it's a talking parrot and it repeats whatever anyone says to it. KD then finally reveals the answer to the riddle saying "The population of China is greater than that of Japan" 😉 .
Varun reached the place where Girish used to gamble to enquire about him. Varun then gets the correct information that he doesnt work with a courier company, instead his jobless for the past 5 years.
KD then gets ready for the case hearing (probably the last one for this case) that too without any concrete proof or evidence to prove Swaroop as innocent. KD planned to apply the phrase "lohe lohe ko kaat ta hai". This means, his plan again involves a demo session or a game in the court room 😉 . He then instructs something confidential to Varun to do during the court proceedings.
In the court room, KD again plays the same "RJ Madura Murder case" recording and claims that the complete phone call was a fake one. He then explains the base for his claim. He says, Madura's voice was a recorded one; however, Girish's was not but Girish was instructed with the list of questions which would come out from the recorded voice and he (Girish) needs to just follow his script. 😉
Now, KD plays a game to get the facts revealed from the murderer him/herself. He confirms to the court that Girish didnt die yet and is being treated in city hospital; though he was shot and he insisted Ms Bose to have a word with Girish over call. Adding to it, KD confirms that Girish would be the right person to talk so that court can know how exactly is the murder and how the murder activity was commenced successfully. He then calls Varun on his cell phone; who intern switches on the tape which played the recording taken by KD during his last conversation with Girish. Upon asked about the murderer's name; the tape said it's Producer Vibhor Mitra; who tried to run away from the court room. Police then grabbed Vibhor and finally he agrees to KD's theory and accepted himself as RJ Madura's murderer and explains the reason of TRP rating which was behind this murder.
Vibhor then explains that he collected Madura's voice in chunks and assembled into a single recording. Then, the approached Girish to talk according to the script provided and handed over a SIM card to use during the call and dispose it post call. He also accepted that he had already killed Madura before the live show started.
Once Vibhor's confession was over, KD then confirms the court that talking to Girish was a just a trap; infact Girish died on the spot itself. He had used the same technique to trap the real murderer (Vibhor in this case) which Vibhor used to kill Madura. 😉
