Okay i know its been ages since i last updated, but i was really busy with my entrance tests, so i apologise for the delay...ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
"There it is!!" screamed Rose in excitement, and all the four youngsters crowded at the window as thy watched the majestic castle come into view….Hogwarts stood proud and tall, surrounded by the lush forest and the dark lake….night had fallen outside and things were barely visible, yet the four were glued to the glass….drinking in the sight of the place that was going to be their home away from home for the next seven years…the train began to slow down and finally came to a halt at the Hogsmeade station….the foursome filed out into the the corridor, owl cages in hand and joined the throng of students trying to get out….Albus jostled his way out with difficulty and tried to look for James or Rose, but in vain. Instead he saw a giant of a man, standing a few feet away from him, carrying a lantern in his hand and screaming…."First years…this way…First years…"….he caught sight of Albus and grinned…."Hey Al! Had a nice journey?"
Al hugged him and nodded.
"Ready for the sorting huh?" he asked jovially and saw Al's face cloud with worry. He patted Albus, who almost fell with the force " Don't worry Al….you'll be alright…I remember James last year….all white and scared…he did alright and so will you…", he said assuringly.
"James was scared too?? That liar…he said he didn't even bat an eye…"
Hagrid sniggered….he loved the arguments between the two brothers….they were so like him and Grawp…Grawp had become accustomed to the society now and spoke fluently….but they still argued and fought like these two kids…the only difference being that Grawp was a "Little" taller than him.
Soon, all the first years were gathered and Hagrid took them towards the lake where the boats were parked…Albus found himself sharing a boat with Tia and two twin girls who introduced themselves as Bonny and Emma Sanders…they were both muggle borns and were thrilled to be here…Al was too scared to be paying any attention to them….as the boats approached Hogwarts, they milled out and Hagrid escorted them to the castle…he was greeted by Lavender Brown at the entrance.
"I'll take them from here Hagrid…" said the divination teacher.
She walked the students to the empty entrance hallway…"Please wait here till I come for you…" she said before turning and leaving.
Albus turned to find Rose, but his path was obstructed by a tall guy….
"You're that Potter guy huh….the Ministers son??"
Albus nodded…."Ya…I'm Albus"
The guy smirked…."I'm Daniel…Daniel Dursely…from what I know, we're supposed to be cousins huh?"
Albus looked blank…His dad had mentioned the Durseleys…but they never knew thEm and his father had terrible tales to tell about his childhood with them…maybe this was Dudley Durseleys son…
"Oh hey Daniel….nice to meet you…." He said putting out his hand. Daniel took it and crushed it in his grip…."I'll show you how nice I am soon…"
Lavender cleared her throat….now for her favourite part of every year…the speech which she remembered from her first year…
"Now students….there are four houses at Hogwarts….gryffindor, ravenclaw, hufflepuff and slytherin. Now while you're here, your house will be like your family. Good efforts will be awarded, while any wrong doing will loose you points. The house with the most points at the end of the year will be awarded the house cup."
She watched the students take it all in…."Come now….they're waiting for you…"
The students followed her into the great hall…all of them were awed by the sheer greatness of the hall…still apprehensive about his sorting, Albus finally found Rose and they walked together….they came to a stop in front of the sorting hat…the hat cleared his throat and silence fell over the hall…..

Into different houses I might sort,

You belong in Slytherin, if you have a thirst to succeed,
Or in Hufflepuff, If simplicity is your creed.
But wherever I might sort you, always remember this,
It is in friendship and love, that you will find true Bliss!!
