Are the actors getting rich?

I live in the US where the success of an actor/actress is parallel to the amount of money they make. Their salaries are publicized and we can be impressed by them. Think about salaries of the actors in Friends, Raymond, etc.

What do Indian TV actors make? Are they going to be extremely rich after being a part of just such a hit series or not?

Also, are there any awards for best acting for indian tv serials? Indian emmys?
