Looks like Varun - the elastic man played by Rohit Purohit - will be the star of quite a few episodes. He simply stole the show today, rescuing 2 girls from their abductors, and it was just too good seeing him dodge the fire guy - Sushant Srivastava. I'm glad to see him being rehabilitated, although he's a comic relief to the show, which is now a police-comedy, rather than a police drama.
Initially, they were at least trying to explain these 'seemingly supernatural' events, but now, they've dropped all pretense of that altogether. Varun just freely becomes 2-dimensional, can get run over, stick to the trunk of a car like a poster 😆 Also, Sushant's powers are all gone once he's tossed in the swimming pool - at that point, Varun ties him up & he is arrested.
One more thing - local politicians from one state don't go on to become MLAs in another state, But in this case, the sarpanch of a village in Rajasthan (since the dialect being spoken was clearly Rajasthani) went on to become an MLA in Maharashtra, which was really bizarre. Usually, local politicians go on to become MPs at national level, but even then, are restricted to their states (unless nominated to the Rajya Sabha from another state, which was definitely not the case here)
What took the cake today was the announcement at the end about the sentences both Sushil Kumar the MLA and Sushant received. This is something that only applies to real events, and this is how the serial tried to pass that off. 🤔
