Mods, please do not close this beacause the answer is obvious, nut it's not.

In my history book, it stated each theory, but I would like to see who believes what. Once someone says the right thing, then i'll give my opinion, if not, then after a page😉

well, i don't really like science, but i think id go with heliocentric....because the sun is the power that gives a lot of the planets light....so, i think the sun has to be in the center...if its the thing that gives us all our light (including the other planets) i think it has to be in the center.

sorry if anything here doesn't make too much sense 😆 i dont know much about science 😆

Of course heliocentric is the correct theory. Sun is obviously the center of the universe.. Earth doesn't have as much gravity to make all the other planets, as well as the sun, go around it in an orbit.. Only sun has that much gravity, and is also the largest body in out solar system, so obviously sun in the center of our universe...

So, smarterdesikid, am I rite? 😉 Edited by achal - 17 years ago

haha, i was being lazy cos it was midnightish 😛

anyway i've googled the two words, and i believe that the solar system evolves around the earth. mostly my spiritual beliefs are the cause of this, because during school i was taught that the sun was the centre.

I think the heliocentric theory is correct
thats what we've been learning since grade 1
All planets revolve around the sun
nobody ever proved the geocentric theory
(only the moon revolves around the sun)

okay - this might sound wierd, but they're both wrong -
they both state Earth is in the center, Sun is in the center of the universe (as read in one of the posts)
How do u decide if the Sun is in the center of the universe, if u have no knowlegde on how big the universe is? They both say Earth is in the center, maybe at some points, it is possible (.0000000001% chance) that earth might be in the center of the universe in one day every year exepct for one every 4 years. (leap year).
So they both are wrong, and partially right
My history teacher also agreed to this fact...
so sorry if I upsetted anyone 😊
