With nuclear families slowly being accepted as the norm, what happens to parents who have no son to take care of them? Can a son-in-law take the responsibility of his wife's parents? Ek Ghar Banaunga, a brand new show on STAR Plus revolves around this very issue.

Poonam, our female protagonist is extremely concerned about her parents and what will happen to them once she is married. Her only brother lives in the U.S. and doesn't seem to care much about the issue. This is when Aakash, our male protagonist, walks into her life like a ray of hope. But will it be smooth sailing thereon?

Our source says, "In our society where it is a must that after marriage, the girl should start her life afresh with her husband and in-laws, what happens to her own parents in their old age. Although Aakash falls in love with Poonam at first sight, she is not too pleased with his antics. Aakash comes from a rustic background whereas Poonam is extremely brilliant in her studies. Will Aakash convince Poonam and her parents that he is the right groom for her?"

Will Poonam manage to take care of her parents? Will it be a smooth transition for Aakash, her husband, from being a son-in-law to a son?

To find out more about Poonam and Aakash's heart-touching story, stay tuned in to Ek Ghar Banaunga, starting 29th April, Monday to Friday at 6.30PM only on STAR Plus.
