One of my ideals and role models! Tagore's poems are brilliant and some of them in which he recalls his childhood memories are written so evocatively that you can almost see the "scene" playing out in front of your eyes as you read the poems and also remember your own childhood!👏
Master of the written word, scholar, educator, artiste are some of his external descriptions. But more than those he was a deep person, a great philosopher, lover of nature and a man who seemed to be forever observing, absorbing happenings around him and then weaving rich songs, stories, plays, paintings around them.
A study of his persona and life is no less interesting than his works.
Nobel Prize or not. I'd have still admired Tagore's work.
BTW, if I am not mistaken this year also marks 100 years since Tagore received the Nobel Prize for literature. 👏
