Master of the written word, scholar, educator, artiste are some of his external descriptions. But more than those he was a deep person, a great philosopher, lover of nature and a man who seemed to be forever observing, absorbing happenings around him and then weaving rich songs, stories, plays, paintings around them.
A study of his persona and life is no less interesting than his works.
Nobel Prize or not. I'd have still admired Tagore's work.
BTW, if I am not mistaken this year also marks 100 years since Tagore received the Nobel Prize for literature. 👏
