here are my set of questions to both of you

1 what is your contribution for the society
2 are today's youngesters more civilised
3 when do you think a woman would get full freedom
4 are social network spoiling today's youth
5 how do you feel when  very close romantic scenes are aired
5 what is your thought on institution of marriage
6 do you think being too socila is affecting the career
7 what are the advantages and disadvantages of co education
8 are these daily soaps of any use to youth
9 what makes sandhya so special
10 what can we do to make the forum more lively

1) I aim to be a good citizen by being a part of a woman's charity helping them fight difficulties and situations that they have been through such as violence and abuse. I as a young woman want to help other women become independent and fight for their rights. I guess.. other than that just being a good citizen and helping those in need.
2) I am not sure.. if I can say that youngsters are more civilised because some are and some are not. But I would say that yes the new generation is become more civilised in terms of social and cultural change. Acceptance is there in terms of inter religion marriages, lifestyles because there is a great influence from western culture however, some countries who are not quite developed there is still a big gap.. and there is slow progression in equality between men and women which disappoints me greatly. We are a more educated generation but there is still a great deal to gain in terms of becoming a civilised generation. I think education has really helped but there are many factors which are stopping youngsters from being more civilised and this needs to be sorted out otherwise we will be faced with a generation which is messed up greatly.

3) Again this is a controversial question, I think there will always be thought in people's minds that women are second class citizens and they cant do certain jobs etc. Its wrong.. after all in this world what would men do without women.. they will become weak. Its disappointing that even after so many years.. woman have still not gained the respect they deserve.. in terms of education, careers, intelligence women and girls are progressing and growing excellently and we really need them to move our world forward to become better and better. But I feel acceptance will never fully be there because there will always be someone who will degrade women.. hence it is important for women to gain self confidence, belief and strength to fight the people that doubt our abilities. Hence, out of all of the charities out there I chose a woman's charity because I want to help them and to become stronger and not sit there mute and bear violence and abuse. I understand some women are scared.. and they bear the consequences hoping for a better future but it is important every girl.. gets a good education so they can remain independent for themselves and for their children and family. It isn't possible for everyone in the world due to poverty but that is where the government should step in.. every citizen should be equal.. but corruption is always there! But I think there is a long way to go before women get complete freedom.

4) Social Networking has benefits and drawbacks to it but yes to an extent it is ruining the young generation if they don't use it properly. This is because youngsters are maybe not getting the awareness and the dangers of talking and communicating with strangers.. the internet is growing so fastly that it is easy to get fooled. You may get a friend request and accept and that person could be anyone. It is important youngsters understand that communicate with new people but if it doesn't say much on their profile or they look suspicious don't accept the request or don't add anyone you don't know because you don't know that person personally. Their needs to be more campaigns to educate society with changes in technology. Facebook, Twitter etc. is so accessible now you can get it on phones ,PC's, tablets so you can see the growth it has. I know kids that go to school with my little sister who has Facebook and they are 12. It is not safe. But age can be dodged around with on these websites and you find very young kids who are vulnerable to dangers. However, there are benefits to it.. you can communicate with your friends, its free and its a pastime. 😊 There is nothing wrong with it but only if you utilise it correctly. I don't think it is the social networking that is affecting youngsters it is the influences that is affecting them just because your friends have it... you feel that you have to keep up with the trends for example. That is the problem.

5) Well when I watch romantic scenes I experience different feelings... I am a die hard romantic so I have no problem and I have a big smile and blushing cheeks. But when I am with my mom it is the most awkward time and when I know something like this airs' through IF in any show I try and dodge the show and watch it online by myself because I am so shy. But yeah they are my favourite and I yearn for romance!

6) Being social is a good trait.. you don't want to be a loner but I think with anything one individual does whether it is drink, eat, sleep, socialise anything you can think of there should be a limit. A limit is always required. But I feel people should be careful what they put on social networking sites because employers do check for your name on Google and see what you are really like. Hence, it could be a danger to your career if there are inappropriate things there. But I feel socialising is required for your career...because by meeting new people it helps you to understand other people and helps your work ethic! 😊

7) There are many advantages to co education because I feel that's the way it should be. I understand some schools, colleges around the world are separate but at the end of the day both males and females will have to join together so why not through education. I feel it prepares everyone to understand what it is like to work with people of the other gender and also helps an individual personally, professionally, mentally and emotionally. It helps individuals to gain confidence by talking and sharing thoughts with each other. I feel it helps people adapt more in the future to new surroundings and situations. A main advantage is gender equality which is strongly required in our society. This is a great step to getting more equality and respect for women and should be considered in more countries.

Finally, a disadvantage could be that there could be problems between the genders in terms of annoyance from each side, flirting and the communication could go wrong. But I feel this can be overcome by other factors. I think co education is a good idea and personally I feel there are more advantages over disadvantages.

8) Again an opinionated answer.. I would say yes they can be useful as some shows do show a lot of reality and give a good deal of awareness of social issues. But I do feel indian soaps don't show enough women empowerment and they are still showing women as weak after marriage. I saw hope in DABH but that is slowly decreasing. But I guess.. fiction shows are greatly over reacted and they are not that beneficial. But I guess we still enjoy them.

9) Sandhya is shown as a girl of today.. in the start of the show that was the girl we wanted to see.. to grow into an IPS.. she isn't any different to any other girl in the world.. she was simple but she had set morals. I guess what makes her so special is the belief and confidence that she has in herself.. that is her strength and that is what yields her success. To me Sandhya is a role model... I dream to possess such inner strength and determination that she possesses within her. She is portraying what girls should be. Strong. Not weak. I know Sandhya has many flaws and seeing her in this sacrifice mode.. disappoints me as I didn't want to see her like this. But she is showing the struggle of a girl who had such big aspirations for herself. I really hope they show her falls as well as her victories because that is what life really is.. it isn't a straight road.. life isn't a bed of roses.

10) I think the forum is active but to make it more active I think there should be
A) More FF's, OS's
B) Intelligent Posts

That's it really.. I think we as a forum are a strong unit.. we just to maintain it! πŸ˜ƒ
