Arjun was looking at her, who was busy in her usual work, chopping vegetables for making food. The similar concentration in her face while making food was lost tonight somewhere...she tucked a hair lock behind her ear absent mindedly, and something snapped inside him.
'i will do it.'' He took the knife from her hand, startling her. He was standing near the entrance of kitchen not a moment ago, and now he is near her.
'what are you doing?'' she was surprised, as she saw he is taking over the kitchen. He took the knife from her, pushed her a little from counter and started to chop veggies.
'really? U will make dinner?'' she said mockingly, and he narrowed his eyes.
'koi shaq?'' he said proudly, and went back to chopping the veggies. She crossed her arms over her chest, eyes looking like are- u - serious way. He sensed it, then turn to her, dropping the knife.
'agar tum aise hi khadi rahi, to ban gaya aaj dinner.'' Saying this, he picked her up in his strong arms in a flash of seconds, making her squeal in surprise. He placed her on the kitchen counter little far from his working place.
'ab chup chap yahan pe baitho, and watch me now!'' saying this, he quickly pecked her forehead and went back to work. She looked at him amused, as he did some quick karate move with the knife in air, making her laugh. The smile didnt leave her lips as she watched him moving gracefully around the kitchen, taking necessary things for making food.

He was stirring the soup in pan, and looked at her, who was watching him intently. He winked, and smiled in satisfaction as her lips curled into a cute smile. She didnt shy away, but her intense look make him blush. He looked away, smiling his shy smile, and continued his work

He stealthily looked again to her, and saw she is still looking at him. Both pair of eyes met, many emotions playing, love, care, concern, and above all, a beautiful deep feeling of togetherness.
She signaled him to look at the soup he was stirring, and he came out of dreamy state. Smacking his head, he went back, this time promising himself to concentrate fully on cooking. She chuckled at his antics, smiling fondly. But there was a little sadness to in her eyes...why?

He finished making food, and she saw in wonder as he made perfect arrangements for candle light dinner in the house itself. In some mere 10 minutes, he arranged the table, set plates and spoons, keep the food and turn the light off to create the effect of candle light dinner.
Aankhon nein pehna chehra tera
Dhadkan ne odhi khusboo teri
Her eyes sparkled as she saw he was lighting up the candles. He looked at her again as he finished all arrangements. He slowly come near her, and her heart beat increased. Her eyes widened, as she saw he firmly hold her body, and helped her to come down from kitchen counter. Taking her hand into his, he lead her to dinner table, and like a courteous gentleman, made her seat. Then he settled in his own seat.

As he served her food and both started having dinner, she continued to look at his face. She could not help but think, what has she done to deserve this man in front of her?
He caught her staring at her in awed look, and he rolled her eyes. She came out of her dreamy land, and blushed little, embarrassed to be caught like this. He signaled to have her food, and she did so. He shook his head at her antics.

He saw she was not eating her food, just playing with the food. The food was not that bad, as he was an excellent cook, but the only problem was he mess up kitchen badly every time he cook something. He also stopped eating, and got up from his seat. She was surprised, as she saw he got up from dinner table, and went near the CD player. He turned some music, and came near her. He offered his hand to her, and looked intently at her. She gave her hand to his, and got up from her seat. Both went to the centre of the hall room, and stood opposite each other, drowning into the moment. The next moment, she felt he pulled her body very close to his, so close that they can count each other's heart beat. Before she can register this, he turned her around in his arms, crossing her arms in front. Her back rested against his chest, as he held her in that position for a short while. She didnt hear what was the song playing in background, but heard he singing softly in her ear.

He breathed in her hair, inhaling the scent of her. She shivered when she felt his lips near her neck, kissing softly.

he again sang in her ear, his voice working like a magic in her senses. She again felt something, and in the next moment, he spun her out, holding her hand firmly in his. He waited for her turn and make eye contact with him before he spun her back into his arms, her back against his chest yet again.

He finished singing in her ear, and he swayed her with him. She closed her eyes in peace, she felt like home. He kissed her hair, and both stayed in this position like an eternity.
He spun her around again, this time her front facing him. They both looked into each other eyes, and she could feel when he helped her to stand on his feet. She was so close to this man...the man she love so much, she care more than herself in world...her reason of existence.
He looked at those warm brown eyes, looking at him awe and love. He leaned down to claim her lips, to make this moment more perfect.

She closed her eyes in anticipation, and his lips were about to touch hers, when...
Ring ! Ring!
In some distance, a phone rang. They both come out of the moment, smiling at each other sheepishly. He freed her from his captive, and she went to pick it up. She looked at the caller id, and frowned.
