Deepa's studying inside her room. She puts away her books, comes outside to see her dad deep in thoughts. VR notices her & polambufies about him getting her married to Prabha. He goes on about how he rushed her wedding & it ruined her life. Deepa says we shouldn't think about Prabha & there's no point thinking about it. Deepa tells him not to worry, she has education & she's trying to put her life back on track. Deepa says he didn't bring her up like kal aanalum kanavan, pul aanalaum purushan. Deepa continues she cannot be his adimai & katra kalvi kai vidaathu. Deepa tells her dad to trust him & she will come up in life. VR says he doesn't doubt her & Indira's listening to all this. Deepa tells him to be strong & VR says he will stand by her side. Indira cries & says it aandha kanneer.
Thuls wakes up & finds TA missing. She checks the bathroom & outside, TA comes in & tells her he went to prepare papers to change the name to his. TA asks her to sign the paper as she asked for it. Thuls signs the papers & TA gets a call from his bank manager. TA tells him to check his resignation mail & if it's in correct format. He asks why this decision & TA reminds him what he said when he was on tour. TA cuts the call & Thuls asks him why he's resigning. TA says bank will inquire him if there's business under his name. Thuls says she only said it because he asked her not to get involved in business matters & he's doing everything to torture her. TA blames her mentality & says she wants him to be her adimai. Thuls says she doesn't think like that but he seems to think so. TA says he's a male chauvinist & thala mela rendu kombu molachirukku. Thuls says she has no time to argue with him. TA tells her to prepare food & Thuls says she & Deepa are going to do internship. TA stops her & tells her there's no need to work, after studying stay at home & look after the kid. Thuls says earning money is secondary but she wants gouravam & respect. Thuls says she's not only studying to put the degree after her name & there's still time to decide that. Thuls says he shouldn't resign his job if he doesn't want her to work. TA says she doesn't trust his business skill & think I will come to nadu theru when my business goes down. Come & ask my office staff about my talents & his manager warned him not to let girls study after marriage. TA says from now on everything should be under my control & she should do as he says. Thuls says she's his wife first but TA says it will change after marriage & they will put a contract saying she shouldn't be pregnant for three years. TA says others are insulting him & tells her to give him a child after completing her studies. TA finishes by saying form now on everything should happen as he says, nadakkum.
Pavi's mappilai's mum & dad suggests doing the engagement in some mandapam & says we arranged for everything... we will give you the bill once the engagement is over.
