- Seetha, Kalpana and Priya had a cooking contest. Both Kalpana and Priya knew Seetha cooked the best and mixed the bowls but in the end Seetha still had her own bowl and won!! The whole family was not happy with Priya and Kalpana's food as it was too salty and spicy but they enjoyed Seetha's cooking. Chitra is the happiest of all saying because Seetha won she also won. Patti gives Seetha a necklace as a prize. Priya watches this and is jealous but both she and Kalpana laugh at each other seeing the other's reaction at their cooking.
-Kalpana comes up with a devious plan and calls the jewellery shop and pretends to be Seetha. She orders an expensive necklace and asks to charge it in Ram's account. Ram receives a call about the necklace supposedly bought by Seetha and is shocked. He returns home in anger.
-He goes into the room and screams at Seetha saying he knows her true colors. But the poor Seetha doesn't understand. Ram tells about everything but Seetha denies everything. Enraged, Ram gives Seetha a slap and makes her cry, and says he will never love her. Seetha is shocked and tells he does and gives the letter ( which was actually written by Kalpana). Ram reads it and is surprised to see bad things written in the letter and demands to know why Seetha is pretending it to be a love letter. Seetha announces that she doesn't know as she is illiterate.
-Ram is shocked and comes to the conclusion that Seetha cheated him and his family by withholding this information but Seetha tells him that Chitradevi knows about it. Ram screams at her not to lie and goes away. Seetha starts crying.
-Sumithra comes in and sees the slap mark on Seetha's face and is horrified but Seetha tells her not to tell anybody. However Patti comes to know about this as well. Seetha misses the morning prayer. When she enters the dining room, she covers the side of her face, saying she has a toothache. Chitra scolds her for being sloppy and lazy while Ram feels guilty. Patti looks at Ram and tells Seetha is sick and asks him to bring her to the hospital but Chitra says he has no time for that.
-Later on Chitra comes to know about the slap from Patti and Sumithra and looks at Seetha in pity and asks what did she do wrong. She asks if Seetha is trying to humiliate Ram and says she is her mother-in-law and any problems must be spoken about only between Seetha, Ram and Chitra and tells not to tell anyone else or be so upset.
-Patti and Sumithra scold Chitra for choosing Seetha not as her son's wife but as a maid while Chitra asks them not to interfere. Kalpana tries to badmouth Seetha but Chitra tells her to keep quiet.
-Seetha is upset that she may have caused problem between Chitra and Ram.
-Priya is curious about Seetha's face and tries to talk to her but Chitra stops her. Priya calls her mother Bhanumathi and tells her something fishy is going on. Ravi almost overhears their call but Priya handles the situation.
-Bhanumathi comes to Chitra's house with sweets and pretends to be caring towards Seetha saying she misses Seetha and Priya. Chitra rolls her eyes while Priya comes and hugs her mother. Bhanumathi sees Seetha covering her face and asks what happened while Seetha says she had an injury. Bhanumathi asks to see it while others panic. Chitra asks Seetha to bring Bhanumathi a cup of water and scolds her privately in the kitchen for supposedly bringing Bhanumathi here.
-Seetha denies this but at that moment Bhanumathi comes in and sees the mark and pretends to cry about somebody slapping Seetha saying Seetha is a poor and innocent girl whom she raised in a caring way. Chitra asks her if her drama is over and tells she knows how they are treating Seetha. Sumithra tells Bhanumathi not to make this into a big issue and asks Priya to bring her into a room. Patti is tensed that Bhanumathi knows about this and is worried about how she is going to face them.
