Chapter 4 :

I didn't know when I fell asleep, sucking my thumb. I looked around and found in that same place. I was again start to think about going to my mom, but this time I felt pain into my belly. What should I do? Should I cry again, but these people would not understand me, if they think I'm doing it to annoy them, they again gonna slap me!! No! I have to put up with this pain until I met my mom. Only she can understand me.

Suddenly, I saw a someone bending on me. Oh! That sister left me here. She took me in her arms and said, "Come baby, let's go to your mom." & she walked to the door. I was wandering where she was taking me. She passed through a corridor with white walls. I spent my whole life in darkness but as far I came here, I found everything white. It's just opposite to my world. And this place smells weird, I felt everything inside my stomach would come out anytime. Now I was being tensed if she were giving me to some other mom mistakenly.

She opened a door, entered another room and smiled looking at the person lying on the white bed.

Sister : Mrs. Rawte, here's your son.

The person starched her hands to touch me and Sister put me down beside her. She touched my cheeks. I know this touch...I can smell her fragrance... she's so familiar...sister brought me to her, to the right mom. Thank god!! She tried to bend on me but Sister Stopped her.

Sister : Just a minute. I'll help you.

Sister took me, kept me on a small bed and moved to mom. She helped her to sit ...with the bed? How did she do that?

Then she put me in her arms. And She kissed me, rub her nose on my cheeks and called my name. I've been called by this name, by this same voice which is registered into my brain, this voice I depended on to know about the outer world around me. The voice awakened me every day and sang lullabies for make me sleep. I smelt her again, captured her fragrance into my little chest; I looked in those dark eyes, they saw the world for me, they saw my dreams, they show me her dreams; I tried to capture her image in my eyes for the first time. At last, I met the person inside whom I was resident, the person given me birth, my only 247 companion of my life in darkness. My Mother.

She took my little hands and feet, kissed them, spread my little fingers and pressed them against her cheeks, she pulled my nose softly, tickled in my belly and I enjoyed fully everything she was doing to me. I was loving it. This is the first good thing happening to me after I came here. I tried to touch her, but I can't use my hands properly yet, she took my hands and helped me to touch her. So, It's confirmed !! She understands me!!

All the time after I came here, I was feeling restless, a strong anxiety, a kind of fear & tension. But at the moment I came to her all those bad feelings disappeared. I know I'm in my rightful place, with my protector, my caretaker, my friend, my everything. She is the person who'll be always by my side, she'll protect me from every evil thing, feed me when I feel hungry, make m sleep into her arms when I feel sleepy, help me to excrete and when those bad doctor or something would come to slap my bum with their hard hands, fight them to save me. Now, let that Doctor come again, my mom will give him a good drubbing.

But that wretch Sister just ruined my happy time.

Sister : It has been more than 6 hours of his birth & your son didn't drink anything. He must be hungry. Plz feed him.

She gave mom that little cylinder type thing full of white liquid. Mom put its soft end into my mouth and asked me to suck. And I obeyed her.

I was continuously seeing her while drinking that liquid. Curly hair, dark eyes, aquiline nose, fair complexion, She's beautiful. She must be, after all she is my Mom.

I felt that pain inside my belly was gone. And I think I can't drink it anymore. But before I can say that, she took that thing away.

Mom : sister, He's full.

Sister : Ok. Um...Mrs. Rawte, did you see his eyes?

Mom : yes.

Sister : Seems he understands everything.

Mom smiled and fondled me again.

Sister : All of your family members waiting outside to meet you and the baby. Should I call them.

Mom nodded and adjusted herself on the bed, holding me into her arms.

Mom : Ready to meet the family, my Little Rawte?

Family !! What kind of thing is that!!

Morning, 11.30 am

In hospital corridor, all were getting impatient to meet the newborn and his mother.

Sister opened the cabin door and signaled them to come in.

Arjun and Rathod  approached to the door but the four ETF ladies blocked their way.

Rathod : (irritated) What is this Aisha? Move aside.

Aisha : No way.(rest 3 supported her)...first we have something to settle down.

Rathod : Now what is it?...look whatever it is, we'll talk later. First let us see them.

Aisha : Arre wah!! 3 din se yaha nonstop chawkidari kare hum...aur app kahin se vi aake andar chale jao, not fare.

Liza : She's right. First, we'll go then you.

Rathod : Stop this nonsense and move...don't forget I'm your boss.

Sakshi : Only in office, Sameer.

Riya : But haan...if you want to go first...give us service charge & we'll make a way...

Shree : Right.

Rathod gave him a black look and Shree hid behind Chotu.

Rathod : Are you nuts !! You're asking for bribes from your seniors!!

Aisha : Volume kam kijiye... it's hospital...& it's not bribe... it's our right.

All supported her.

Arjun just watching this drama. Now he came forward, brought his wallet out and put it on Aisha's hand. Then he signaled girls to move aside, girls obeyed them and he went inside the cabin.

Rathod was about to follow his friend, but girls again blocked his path.

Rathod : Now what? Rawte gave you whatever you want...

Liza : It was Junior's father's share.

Riya : Now it's his Mamu's turn.

Sakshi : No no..Ri, it's Chachu.

Shree : Then inka to double charge banta hain.

Aisha : Thanks Shree. Sir, pura din yahin khare rehne ka irada hain kya?

Rathod looked into Aisha's eyes in disbelief and brought out his wallet. He called Shree to come forward and gave him all the cash remaining in it.

Rathod : Sweets and lunch for everyone in ETF office, from me.

He removed his credit card and put it into Aisha's hand.

Rathod : For you people's celebration. Pura khatam matt karna. Buy some gifts for my nephew.  Aab hatho samne se.

He pushed Aisha aside and entered the room. And the rest followed him.
