About Vampire Knight
Vampire Knight (' Vanpaia Naito) is a shojo manga series written by Matsuri Hino. The series premiered in the January 2005 issue of Lala magazine and has officially ended. Chapters are collected and published in collected volumes by Hakusensha, with seventeen volumes currently released in Japan. The manga series is licensed in English by Viz Media, who has released fifteen volumes so far. The English adaptation premiered in the July 2006 issue of Viz's Shojo Beat magazine, with the collected volumes being published on a quarterly basis.
Two drama CDs were created for the series, as well as a twenty-six episode anime adaptation. Produced by Studio Deen, the anime series' first season aired in Japan on TV Tokyo between April 8, 2008 and July 1, 2008. The second season, aired on the same station from October 7, 2008 and December 30, 2008. The anime uses many of the same voice actors as were used for the drama CDs. The anime adaptations were licensed for release in North America by Viz Media, the DVD released on July 20, 2010.
Plot
Yuki's earliest memory is of a stormy night in winter, where she was attacked by a vampire... And then rescued by another. Now 10 years later, Yuki Cross, the adopted daughter of the headmaster of Cross Academy, Kaien Cross, has grown up and become a guardian of the vampire race, protecting her childhood crush, Kaname, from discovery as he leads a group of vampires at the elite boarding school. But also at her side is Zero Kiryu, a childhood friend whose hatred for the creatures that destroyed everything he held dear leaves him determined never to trust them. This coexisting arrangement seems all well and good, but have the vampires truly renounced their murderous ways, or is there a darker truth behind their actions? Because in this world of secrets, nothing is as it seems. And the price of misplaced trust may even be worse than death.
Note:- I made this thread so we all can discus Vampire Knight here only and also VK is removed from every site from this December because of Copyright issue,you can only read it in Mangafox and watch it in Kissanime.This October they released a bonus chapter which you can't read it because there is no translate version available.One fan translated it and posted it in Tumbler but it also removed but I read it in time so I am going to tell you the story.😉

Character Sketch

Yuki Cross/Kuran is the main female protagonist of the series. She is initially established as a human at the beginning of the story. She has no memories of her past prior to a stormy night, when she is almost devoured by a bloodthirsty vampire, 10 years ago. Yuki wonders about her mysterious connection to a beautiful and charming vampire named Kaname Kuran, the person who saved her life and whom she is in love with. Later in the series, she begins to remember her past, and begins suffering from hallucinations, her mind slowly plunging deeper into corruption. With no options left, Kaname is forced to awaken her before she loses herself to the hallucinations. Upon awakening, Yuki recalls her missing memories and regains her true identity. She is actually a pure-blood princess and is the secret daughter of Haruka and Juri Kuran and younger sister, as well as fianc, of Kaname Kuran. She and her fianc are officially the last remaining living Purebloods of the Kuran family and are part of the remaining seven royal Pureblood clans. At the end of the story, she is the mother of two unnamed children. She has a daughter with Kaname and a son with Zero. Yuki's daughter is adopted by Zero as her foster father while her real father is in slumber.

Zero Kiryu is one of the main characters of Vampire Knight and the only Vampire Hunter/Vampire in the entire series. Zero is Yuki's childhood friend of 4 years and the only other Cross Academy Guardian. As a Vampire Hunter, Zero wields the Bloody Rose as his main weapon, an anti-vampire gun. He is the adopted son of Kaien Cross, the headmaster of Cross Academy. Before that, he was born into a vampire hunter family. He lost his family members and was turned into a level E vampire by a pure-blood, Hio Shizuka (also known as the "Mad Blooming Princess"). He has held a strong hatred and disgust to vampires ever since. When he discovers that Yuuki is actually a pureblood vampire and Kaname's sister he becomes very angry and cuts all ties with Yuuki with a kiss, saying farewell. Later on, when Yuuki leaves the academy with Kaname, he becomes depressed and bloodthirsty without Yuuki. When Yuuki and he meet again, he ignores her and treats her like the other vampires. When Kaname betrays Yuuki and goes after all the purebloods, he helps Yuuki to try and stop Kaname. They soon start to get close once again and even share a kiss during a masquerade ball. Then, Yuuki steals Zero's memory of ever loving and caring for her. When he wakes up he does not recognize Yuuki at all and tells her to leave him alone. Later on, he remembers Yuuki by retrieving from Yuuki the memories from the past. When Kaname returns, Yuuki returns to him in order to attempt to turn Kaname into a human, stopping/saving him from his suicide mission. When Kaname sacrifices himself, his last words to Zero and Yuuki are, " I want you two to be together ". After Kaname falls into slumber, Zero begs Yuuki to be with him, Yuuki remains mute still distraught from Kaname's 'slumber'. Later on in the manga, it shows that some time has passed and Zero and Yuuki have lived happily together with two children, one of which is Zero's (the boy) and one that is Kaname's (the girl; Kaname and Yuuki slept together the night before he sacrificed himself). It is implied that Zero died of old age, since he was not a pureblood vampire but a level D, but he died happily knowing that Yuuki and him lived a happy life.

Kaname Kuran is a Pureblood vampire, the president of the moon dorm, and the well respected king of the vampire society. He is the one who saved Yuki from a level E vampire when she was a child 10 years ago. When Yuki reawakens as a vampire, she recalls that Kaname is her fianc. It is later revealed that Kaname is the first ancestor of the Kuran family, as well as one of the first founders of the vampire race, and is actually over 10,000 years old. Due to his weakened state after being revived, Kaname had transformed his body into that of an infant, and subsequently, his memories were repressed. His life was entrusted to Haruka and Juri Kuran, who raised him as their son that Rido had taken and killed. Kaname is the father to one of Yuki's two children, and in the end of the story, Yuki sacrifices herself to revive Kaname as a human.

Kaien Cross is both the Headmaster of Cross Academy, and current head of the Vampire Hunters Association. He is the guardian of Zero Kiryu and adoptive father of Yuki Cross, the heroine of the story. Kaien is a very strong hunter, known as the best until he retired. Kaien is unusual amongst the vampire hunters as he appears to have stopped physically aging, appearing to be a man in his mid-twenties despite being two hundred years old. They have been studying his DNA, which he is said to possess extremely high amounts of vampire DNA that stopped his aging and causes Zero to confuse him with that of a vampire's aura. Like all vampire hunters, Kaien is able to wield anti-vampire weapons and carries a sword hidden in a cane and he has an acute smell that senses vampires. Kaien is considered the legend of vampire hunters.

Rido Kuran was a Pureblood vampire and one of the major antagonists of the Vampire Knight series. He was the eldest brother of Haruka and Juri Kuran, and was Shizuka Hio's fianc. With his reappearance, it was revealed that he was the true head of the Kuran family, not Kaname. He was also the uncle of Kaname and Yuki and the illegitimate father of Senri Shiki. As Rido is the biggest threat to Yuki's live hood, Kaname sees him as the enemy he has to eradicate at all costs. Rido was the person who sacrificed the life of Yuki's biological brother Kaname to reawaken the powerful ancestor Kaname from his thousand years of slumber. Technically making himself Kaname's master, Rido thought he could enslave the ancestor Kaname into listening to his every order. However, his plans backfires and was instead slashed into pieces by young ancestor Kaname. Taking him 10 years to regenerate his body. He comes back attempting to kill her once more.

Shizuka Hio was the Pureblood vampire who bit Zero Kiryu. Even for a Pureblood, her fellow vampires felt uneasy around her and referred to her as the "Flowers-blooming-out-of-season princess" or "Kuruizaki-hime." She bore a slight resemblance to her distant relative, Maria Kurenai.

Like the Ichijo family, the Shiki family is Pro-Council because his mother's uncle is a member of the Vampire Council. His mother was also a well-known former actress, though is now a little unstable and her son must take care of her. According to the fanbook, he was scouted as a model while visiting his mother while she was working as an actress. He and Rima had met earlier, as they were working for the same agency.Senri is revealed to be the illegitimate son of Rido Kuran, thus making him and Kaname Kuran cousins although Senri doesn't associate much with Kaname during the series. Senri shares his father's ability to use his own blood as a weapon, although Rido can use it to a greater degree. Though his father is a Pureblood, Shiki is not considered one because his mother was an Aristocrat It could therefore be said that Shiki is above most aristocrats. Since he is above most aristocrats, he gets a little more respect from them. Shiki senses and has a bad feeling when a Pureblood dies or loses blood because his father, Rido Kuran, was a Pureblood causing his blood to be more pure.

Hanabusa is the heir of the Aido family, one of the highest lineages of vampire aristocratic families alongside the Ichijo family.Hanabusa has two older sisters and two younger sisters who spoiled him as the youngest child. Ever since he was young, Hanabusa has been playmates with his cousins from the branch families, Akatsuki and Ruka. Hanabusa, along with Akatsuki Kain, are known as Kaname's "right hand men".

The Ichijo family is the highest family of the vampire aristocrats and Pureblood families. Takuma's father is an actor and his mother is the head of a flower arranging (ikebana) school. It is most likely that Takuma was raised by his grandfather, Asato Ichijo(the former head of the Vampire Council), who educated him and had high expectations of him. Asato appeared to have ambitions of marrying him to a member of the Shirabuki family.

Ruka grew up privileged, as the daughter of a noble family. Her family is part of what is referred to by Asato Ichijo as the "Aido faction," which is comprised of the Kain, Aido, Souen, Toya, and other clans. Not much is known about her parentage, but her father or mother are possibly part of the Senate or in another high position, as Ichijo refers to her as "The daughter of Souen." Ruka came to Cross Academy to be closer to her long-time idol, Kaname Kuran, with whom she is in love with. On their first night at the school, she asked Kaname to drink her blood to prevent him from drinking Yuki's blood which he accepted. He has refused it since, which deeply hurts her, even though she has always expected such. She was roommates with Rima Toya. The Souen family are Pro-Monarchy like the Aido, Kain, and Toya families.

Akatsuki grew up within a noble family, the Kain family, which was pro-monarchy. His family is part of what is referred to by Asato Ichijo as the "Aido faction" presumably comprised of the Aido, Souen, Kain, Toya and other related clans. He is very close to his cousins, Hanabusa Aido and Ruka Souen having been with them since early childhood. He and the other two children met Kaname once when they were children but did not meet again until years later. Not much is known about his parentage. His original intent in attending Cross Academy was to take care of Hanabusa and Ruka. In the Moon Dormitory he is roommates with Hanabusa Aido.

Ten years ago, her eldest brother Rido Kuran trespassed into the Kuran residence and wanted Yuki for his own gain. To protect her daughter, she sacrificed her life to suppress Yuki's vampire side and erased her memories. She had wanted Yuki to be able to live a happy normal human girl life. Her last wish was for Kaname to protect Yuki. Headmaster Kaien Cross states that he is in debt to her so he decided to adopt Yuki for her sake.

It was revealed in 38th Night that Haruka and Juri had been together for almost 3000 years, ever since Juri was born. Haruka fell in love with Juri and pursued her dogmatically until she eventually returned his affections. It was apparent that Juri was initially irritated by Haruka's advances. After Haruka and Juri got together, they decided to start a family and Kaname was their first child. However, their brother, Rido, had kidnapped and murdered Kaname partially for revenge but, mainly to awaken Kaname the Ancestor leaving Haruka and Juri to raise the ancestral Kaname as their own. In fear of Rido taking their daughter Yuki Kuran, Haruka decided to hide Yuki's existence from the world until she was strong enough to protect herself.

Sara's malevolent and sadistic personality may not have always been prevalent. In recent chapters, Takuma Ichijo mentions Sara losing her parents to suicide at an extremely young age, causing her to 'want' Takuma. Considering her youth and exposure to the reality of Purebloods, the incident may have altered her mentality and mindset dramatically. If correct, this would have played a strong part in Sara's goal to never end up like the Kurans or Shizuka Hio (whom she believes have all committed suicide from lack of purpose and will), and her determination to surround herself with a massive amount of servants. The memory was so traumatizing that Sara believes that becoming the Queen of the Vampires is the only sure way to preserve her purpose, and for this she goes to immoral and morbid heights for the sake of her future reign.

Sayori comes from an old and distinguished family. She also has a fiance whom she has yet to meet. Her father is Councillor Wakaba.Yuki has been Yori's best friend since middle school and in high school they were dorm mates. She currently still remains as Yuki's best friend even when she discovers that Yuki was a Pureblood vampire and has no contact from her for a year. Yuki pounces on Yori to demonstrate the danger she poses at Yori, but Yori just laughs because she doesn't find Yuki scary at all. This shows that they are still very good friends.

Seiren is usually the first to defend Kaname from anyone she regards as a threat. For example, she barely refrains from killing Zero Kiryu when he points the Bloody Rose at Kaname. Seiren also appears to serve Kaname in the capacity of a spy or informant. She is often seen in the background ever watching for danger or hidden to retreve information which makes her mostly a loner. After Rido Kuran was killed, Seiren continues following her master, Kaname. Seiren is a highly trusted vampire, as when Kaname and Yuki return to the Kuran mansion in secret, Seiren is already there having prepared their quarters.

Written Update Of The Bonus Chapter

The bonus chapter starts when Kaname became the new parent and went into the slumber and Aido froze his body. Yuki was sad and crying,Zero came to her to give her some support but just then Yuki attacked Zero and fed on him.She said she is so thirsty that she need more to drink,just then Zero realized that Yuki is not alone and there is something inside her..a living thing. Aido was also there and then they find out that Yuki is pregnant. Aido and Ruka told both Zero and Yuki that vampire's pregnancy is not like the human's.Human baby take 9 months to born but a vampire baby take almost 5 years specially when it's a Pureblood child and in this time Yuki will be more thirsty then usual,even she can attack anyone.after this they showed 5 years passed.Everyone gathered in a mansion..Sayori,Aido,Seiran,Takuma,Shiki,Rima,Zero all are there and they are enjoying except Zero of course.😆..They all gathered because Yuki asked them to come and they didn't met her in past 5 years.Just then Yuki entered like a storm with a bay in her hand😳.Behind her Ruka and Akatsuki came running.They are shouting at her to stop and walk slow or she will drop the baby.😆(it looks like Ruka and Akatsuki was there with Yuki in all this 5 years and they took care of her).Everyone saw the baby girl for the first time. Aido look at the baby and said " first time I am watching a baby gave birth of a baby 😛😆"...which make Yuki angry and she said "m not a baby anymore..m an adult now"..Then Zero came there with a angry face but the moment he saw the baby he forget all his anger and smile,like the ice melt..he felt something.After this a long time passed,Zero and Yuki are together and showed Sayori as an old lady with her grandchildren. Sayori told them about Yuki and others. Aido was there and at her last moment he asked her permission to change her into vampire but she refused.Then they showed that Sayori died and everyone was present there. Aido think himself and wonder why she didn't agree to change,he asked her again and again many times but she always refused.(from this it looks like Sayori and Aido was together,even the children knows about vampires so may be they are halfblood or something).After this they showed Yuki came to a grave and it's Kiryu family's grave,Zero is also buried here.He died a normal death after spending long time and his full life with Yuki happily. Yuki said to Zero "10000(or was it 1000 don't remember 😛) years passed and everyone dead(in this place they showed a blurry picture where Aido,Ruka,Akatsuki,Seiran,Touga,Kaien,Takuma,Shiki,Rima are present so may be all are dead)" and she said a final goodbye to Zero and came to the place where Kaname is sleeping. Aido finished the research and with that researches help she sacrificed her life and gave Kaname a human life.After sometime Kaname opened his eyes.A boy and a girl was present there.The girl said to the boy "look onii-san he opened his eyes". Kaname wake up and the the girl told him before living "this is a massage from my mother to my other father..this is the world she wanted for him always". Kaname came out and saw a butterfly and smile and said "What a beautiful light"END
