I think Bollywood will get better in terms of story and everything else in general. I know people always look back to the older days but think about majority of the movies that did well in the past, how many of them will do well today? Movies in the 90s were so bad. Maybe I was just too young to watch anything other than the popular films but all I remember are the commercial flicks.
There is this new generation of directors in Bollywood who make movies with good script. They are not getting a lot of attention right away but many of them are slowly making it. I think that is so lovely. Some have even found the right balance of art and commercial. Even in award shows these movies are starting to find a place. There are actors who also want to do better films. So not everyone is dying over the crore benchmark.
