Kunal: (keeping his bag on the table) mera kurta kahan hai?? Tumhein pata
hai na ki mujhe khud se kuchh nahi milta, toh nikaal k nahi rakh sakti...
aur meri chai.. Chalo ab jaldi se utho aur mere liye adrak waali chai le aao..
When there was no response Kunal went near Siddhi who was lying on the bed.
Kunal: (slightly raising his voice) leti kya hui ho?? Utho aur mere liye chai banao...
Siddhi was lying lifeless on the bed with absolutely no movement. Seeing
her this way Kunal's eyes welled up with tears. Just then Seema kept her
hand on Kunal's shoulder. He quickly hid his tears and turned towards her.
Seema: (while giving Kunal a glass of water) Meeting kaisi rahi bhaiya??
Kunal: Theek rahi. Aaj doctor aaye hongein naa.. Kya kaha Doctor ne???
Seema: Wahi jo hamesha Siddhi ke checkup ke baad kehte hain.. Ki humein
patience rakhni hogi.. Par ab toh patience bhi khatm hoti jaa rahi hai.
6 mahine se zyaada ho gaye hain. (almost crying) Siddhi theek toh ho
jaayegi naa?
Kunal: (looking at Siddhi, with determination in his voice) Aise kaise theek
nahi hogi Siddhi. Ise theek hona hi padega, bilkul pehle ki tarah. Aur doctor
ne kaha tha na ki Siddhi humaari saari baatein sun sakti hai... Agar woh apni
Seema bhabhi ko aise pareshan sunegi toh use achha lagega kya??
After a pause Kunal took his kurta from his chair and went out to change.
Seema too convinced herself of Kunal's words and went towards the kitchen
to serve the dinner to the family. Soon after Seema called Kunal for dinner but
he declined as he was not hungry and went to his room saying he had a lot
of work to finish before the final hearing of his case which was to take place
a week later. But he was hardly able to concentrate. Though he was trying
to keep himself busy in his files but all the painful memories were coming
back to him.
On the day of the last hearing of Richa's case Siddhi had went to the court
despite being shot. Even Rohit had given his statement in favour of them
and the happy decision was just coming their way when Siddhi suddenly
collapsed in the court and was rushed by Kunal to the hospital. On diagnosing
her the doctors concluded that due to heavy loss of blood, Siddhi was in
Coma. Kunal was completely broken. He blamed himself for Siddhi's condition
and wanted her to become all right at once. "Keep Patience" the Doctor
had said. Yes, he had a lot of patience to give assurance to the family. But
for himself?? 185 days and he was still counting...
He sat beside Siddhi on the chair and started talking to her which was
almost a routine for him now.
Kunal: Do you know Siddhi, after a week I have a very important hearing
against Thakral. Yes, he will lose very badly and this would be my first blow
to him because he is also equally responsible for whatever happened to you
just like his kids who are rotting in jail now for doing this to you. I have fought
about 25 cases in these 6 months but this one is different. This is more
personal rather than professional. I would give their dues to everybody who
are responsible for this state of yours. But what about my punishment Siddhi.
I am your biggest culprit. Get up and punish me Siddhi, punish me...
Kunal never knew when he slept on the chair itself blaming himself for Siddhi's
condition...
