A girl Palak's birthday party is going on and a joker enters whose height is about 4 ft, with a knife. There are two jokers including him, he's Chandu and the other one Rambo. Chandu tells the children how he became a joker and then he and Rambo do an act where Rambo tosses apples in the air and Chandu manages to slice it tossing his knife in the air itself. He then plays hide and seek game with the children and a joker resembling Chandu's height, kills Rambo and Prakash Saxena, Palak's father. Palak screams after seeing the dead bodies and the joker runs away. Rambo utters "Joker" before dying. Chandu is caught and all the men accuse him.
Chandu's mother Aparna meets KD and requests him to rescue her son. KD agrees and the scene shifts to the court. Prosecutor Dixit states that the knife, the murder weapon is Chandu's and his height resembles the height of the killer, as per forensic reports. Dave comes and utters that Palak saw Chandu run away. KD questions if she saw Chandu killing? Dave denies and then utters that she only saw his back. KD further states that Chandu had no motive to kill. Dixit reveals that he had a motive in Prakash's case, as he was his step brother. She further reveals that Chandu's mother Aparna and Prakash's father Prithviraj had an affair. Aparna gave birth to Chandu before they could marry and Prithviraj rejected him as he was a midget. KD and all are stunned to know the truth.
Aparna meets KD in his office and he refuses to continue the case. Aparna somehow convinces him revealing the fact that Chandu wasn't aware of Prithviraj being his father. KD meets Chandu along with Srman. Chandu tells him he has faced rejections since his childhood as he's a midget. He then narrates a story of how he became a joker and Srman utters that it's different than what he told the kids in the party.
KD in his office views the party video and says someone else of Chandu's height was there. Varun and Srman investigate in a particular area. In the court, KD calls Prakash's handicapped cousin Rohan. KD reveals that his business is in loss and he's under a huge debt. He further utters that both the cousins were engaged in a war due to a plot of land. Prakash wanted to build a temple as per his grandfather's wish while Rohan wanted to construct a mall, to get rid of his debts. KD asks Rohan how he became handicapped and Rohan tells him he faced an accident. KD further reveals that Rohan thinks Prakash planned the accident. Prakash's wife Ankita comes and confirms that Rohan always used to accuse Prakash. KD claims that Rohan gave a contract to Rambo and it's clear through Rambo's mobile they discovered. There are a lot of messages in that. Prosecutor interrupts and then KD calls Prakash's manager in the witness box.
He questions the manager that why he called Rambo in particular? Manager replies he did it on Rohan's insistence. KD reveals that he did a 22 crore fraud in the company. Manager defends himself and tells the court that he didn't mean any fraud; he only took the money as his sister's marriage is approaching and the groom's family demanded an expensive car. He didn't tell anyone and decided that he'd return the money as soon as he manages. He further states he isn't involved, only Rohan can do so.
Rohan finally confesses he had hired Rambo, but just to steal the diamonds from Prakash's locker. Later he reveals that Prakash gave him a cheque that night, to clear his debt and hence he cancelled the plan. Rohan then claims that the manager killed Prakash, he had called two goons. Manager reveals that Prakash had called them, he and Prakash used to inhale a drug heroin, the men came with those drugs only. He then blames Rohan again and reveals that Ankita was his crime partner. They both did MBA together and loved each other. Ankita's marriage with Prakash was their plan, it was decided that Ankita would divorce Prakash later with a heavy settlement. Ankita agrees with manager's words and then in her defense says that she left Rohan as he was only using her unlike Prakash who truly loved her. The prosecutor blames Chandu again and he screams on her. After that he narrates how he became a joker, a third story this time. Prosecutor gets shocked and claims that he's a psycho killer.
KD in his office questions Aparna about those different stories. She tells him that it has become his habit now; he used to narrate stories since his childhood. KD observes Rambo's phone records and notices a number from where he got max calls. Varun tells him that he was very popular among girls. KD plays the party video again and notices something.
In the court KD reveals that someone went in the party to kill Rambo, he was the target. He calls a woman Aafreen who loved Rambo and wanted to marry him. KD reveals that Rambo never wanted to marry and was a playboy, so she attempted suicide thrice. He then calls her brother Sayed who worked in a circus, did stunts and was an expert in tossing knife in the air too, just like Chandu. He then questions him that why he went to Palak's party? Sayed denies but KD plays the video and he's spotted in disguise. KD tells him that he identified him seeing a photo of him and Aafreen in Rambo's mobile. Dixit brings the height issue and KD asks Dave to check Sayed's knees. Dave lifts his jeans till his knees and KD asks Dixit to observe the swelling and redness which indicated he walked on his knees.
Sayed confesses he killed Rambo as his sister tried to end her life thrice due to him. He killed him to save his sister's life. Once when he got to know about Rambo and Rohan's plan, he got this idea but later this plan changed in the party. So he took the disguise of a joker, and walked on his knees.
