Pongalo pongal paasap pongal in Sokku  household.  All supremely  happy. Meena wants to  have Thanks giving at Kuladeivam temple along with entire family. Sokku skeptical about Mayil family participation - where there is Mahesu - There will be no mayil. [ retta nadaswaram engalaleyum thaanga mudiyadh]Gopi takes the onus upon him  to coax chitappa to attend .

Gopi invites Mayil family to participate in the temple ceremony. Mayil categorically rejects - unnecessary hard feelings - Mahesh bound to wound them with words - he might hit back & charm of the ceremony will be lost. So mayil asks Gopi to excuse. But gopi persuades. Mayil  on the verge of accepting when he gets a call from Mahesu who starts her verbal bashings for sending Murthy as a peace maker. Mayil back to Murunga maram, tells gopi his family will not participate..

Back to Sokku Mansion.  Madam Mahesu arrive . Gopi informs about Mayil's decision. Mahesh again opens her thiruvai  [ Appappa thaanga mudiyala. Big Navthal lock podungapa iva vayila]. Now Prasad comes forward to convince Mayil & bring him to the temple.

Mayil Mansion.  Murthy joins them . Prasad , Maha too arrive. Prasad once again broach the subject  - Kovil visit. Mayil same stand - Mahesu doesn't appreciate & unnecessary hard feelings.  Prasad resorts to emotional approach - If chitappa family not coming then I also not going. Mayil has no option but to accept invitation.

Kovil - prep. In full swing for pongal. Meena is cornerd by Pushpa & maha who poison her with their eavesdropped findings  -  Sokku , Gopi& Malar  nurture soft corner for Prasad's foster parents , Malar being the common factor triggering the other two. Meena eyes red with kolaveri.

Friday 24^th January 2014 Episode 966

MM flags off Naradhar kalakam - poisons Prasad's ears with liberally spiced version of his wooden [ udan] pirappu Gopi's  visit to their house as samadhana dhooduvan . Prasad's ears , eyes face all red. Takes out his anger on Maha , Malar & sokku who asks him to enjoy his favourite Cauliflower soup specially prepared by meena.  Prasad replies in an irritated tone that his stomach & mind filled with hot & spicy Gobi soup served from Subbu's kitchen. Will kai nanachufy in that house only after having the famous 4 vaarthai with Gopi. Well , grounds laid for gurukshetram war in Sokku shetram.

Ragini pours her heart out to parlour madam . Guhan's  fianc's   friend overhears a part & tells fianc about ragini's love failure. Matter taken to Kumaru who wants to sort it out & takes mother's help to find out ragin's lover.

Mayil comes to Mahesu's house & apologises for  his rude behaviour with her. Says he learnt the lesson about himself the hard way - from the mouth of a third party - Mallika.  Mahesu silent  all thru , for a change not a word was uttered by her. Srima was supremely happy only to learn that her happiness is going to be short lived. The moment Mayil left , elated vambichuppi Mahesu calls her counterpart in Kamu house madam Malli & asks for the detailed version of her chitappu's appu at her house. Malli invites her home to give the masala version of the matter. Kamu is privy to all this. 

Saturday 18^th Jan. 2014-01-20

Pushpa semaya vepillai adiching Meena.  Malar is the mahamanthri  poisoning Sokku - Gopi duo as she wants to safeguard her position in Sokku house. Maha has now entered as a new competitor which Poo is unable to digest , feels her importance will go in the wind. Meena assures to stand by Prasad & Maha side.

Sokku lamenting over Prasad's unjustified behaviour towards his  foster parents. Gopi & malar share the feeling. Threesome decide to talk to Prasad & make him see the positive aspects  of valarpu parents  ,he surely owes them due credit for his present status in life. Malar voices her worry that their advice might back fire. But somebody has to bell the cat , so take upon themselves the tough task.

Sorrowful Prasad's mom being consoled by daughter & husband. P's dad takes pride over their upbringing of  their son - a honest & upright individual. They have to endure the punishment for the their mistake - shouldn't have hid the truth from their son.

Temple scene.  Function went off well. All joking & talking about Prasad's china vayasu leelais. Samiyar comes . Meena overly joyed. Sami blesses Prasad. Some sooth saying by him - Mazhai varum , puyal varum , idi vizhum - becareful , stand firm - enakku onnum puriyala.

Street fight between rajesh & Guhan.  Timely help from Kumaru  rescues Guhan

Sokku house. Jagan & wife come to meet & greet Prasad. Jagan naakula Saturn. Vaya vachindu sums irukkama , big advice to Prasad - not to forget valarpu parents . All faces show varied expressions - variety entertainment on Monday for you sumi
