Brothers set out to bust ghosts
Pritam, Pyaare Aur Woh, Indian television's first ghostbuster show, revolves around two brothers, Pritam and Pyaare, played by Siddharth Sagar and Prasad Barve, respectively. They become famous by solving ghostbuster cases and ultimately set up a laboratory where they invent useless yet unique gadgets to solve such cases. However, incidents happen accidentally and the cases get solved on their own even when their gadgets fail to work or are forgotten at home, which only get the brothers to believe that they have solved the case with the help of their gadgets.
They are supported by their rich businessman brother-in-law, played by Tiku Talsania. His secretary, Mary, played by Tapasya, has been instructed to keep a close watch by accompanying them.
The show features Rajesh Kumar as Dara Koyla, a dignified vampire. He can morph into a bat at will and also has the ability to hypnotise his victims. Being afraid of sunlight, he sleeps in his coffin through the day and wakes up once the sun sets. Dumroo (Sukesh Anand), the hunchback and monster Hatuba (Madan) are his aides. Anooj Kapoor, Senior EVP and Business Head of the channel, says, "We have made horror-comedy before and there is a strong recall for this genre. So, we decided to bring it back with contemporary treatment."
Pritam Pyaare Aur Woh launches tonight and will air from Monday to Friday at 7.30pm on SAB TV.
